"Amenities were good and the room was a great size. The location is quite noisy depending on which room you're allocated, and breakfast was a bit chaotic with staff struggling to keep up with demand."

"Had an adequate but underwhelming stay here over the bank holiday weekend. 3 weddings in 2 days made for a busy hotel. Rooms in need of some TLC. The cleaner hadn’t cleaned the toilet properly before we checked in & we were met by someone else’s poo stains. Took 45 mins for room service to bring us some ice. Food in restaurant was mixed - risotto was amazing, burger very basic - and service was slow. Bar area looks into the area where the weddings are held, so no nice relaxing views. Nothing luxurious about this hotel. Won’t be back."

"everything was fine although the interior is a little dated. however the stay was completely let down because the actual mattress was SO uncomfortable I could barely sleep. think "wire sticking into your back" no matter where you try and position yourself on it. get those replaced and you've got a lovely hotel with very nice staff."

Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa

"We stayed in Rutland hall whilst visiting for a Wedding in the local area it was also our 34th Wedding Anniversary. On arrival the reception staff were friendly and helpful. We were allocated our room which was on first floor with lake view the lift are broken but think that is an ongoing problem. Our room was pleasant with a good size bed fridge broken. We had a wander round the grounds and lake which was pretty.. We ate on site in blossom restaurant fairly standard food think a little over priced but had a nice meal. We returned to our room at 2230 soon after we could hear a dog barking and crying in an adjacent room to which would stop briefly and the continue we obviously could not sleep and at approximately midnight I located the room next door banged on the door the dog had clearly been left on its own I rang reception who advised me they would come and see but that they and that they advised people not to leave dogs in their room alone that they might be at a wedding. Reception rang later disturbing my husband who was dosing in between the dog howling and crying to tell, us what we already knew that the dog was crying and barking and they would talk to the wedding venue. The dog did not stop till 2am when the owners then returned and had a gathering outside our room. Needless to say we will not be returning to this venue it might be dog friendly(not for this dog) certainly not people friendly. Second night was better and breakfast was good."
