"After a grueling 7-hour drive, I arrived at 9:00 PM only to be blindsided at check-in.
Despite no prior disclosure during the booking process, the front desk informed me of a mandatory $15 resort fee and a $100 pet fee. Charging over $100 in surprise fees upon arrival is predatory and unprofessional.
To make matters worse, the room was poorly maintained; the floors were covered in sand, which is unacceptable regardless of the price point. I submitted a formal complaint to management regarding the lack of transparency and the cleanliness of the room, but I have received zero response.

"Clean room with everything you need, and Billy the property manager was wonderful. This is a small, no-frills hotel, but it was just what we needed. We weren’t there for a resort; we needed a nice, clean, safe place to stay in Atlantic Beach. We will be back!"

"The property is gorgeous, as was the room. The staff was very attentive. We kept our car in valet parking during our weekend stay- We could have it retrieved for us via our phone so that it was always ready when we wanted it. We wrongfully assumed that the bar would be quiet on Sat night, but there was live music that was very enjoyable and not so loud that we couldn’t talk to each other. It was perfect. Then we had Sunday brunch which was phenomenal. We highly recommend The Beaufort Hotel and cannot say enough good things about it."

"The indoor pool is in a building that is open to the outside, and the water is not heated. So if it has been cold outside, don't expect to use the pool.
The WIFI is very, very slow, to the point where streaming TV programs is terrible.
The kitchen sink is so small and shallow (it's a small bar sink) that it is very hard to use.
The place was nice and clean and well-maintained. Everything else was fine."
