Angel was a phenomenal host. From the moment we arrived we felt like family. It was so much fun to get a tour of the farm and the animals. And the nights were so quiet and peaceful. Exactly what we needed

The Hacienda Iluminada was the perfect place to stay after a long trip from California. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the hacienda exceeded all of our expectations. Before our arrival, the owner of the hacienda was in constant communication with me. Upon arrival we were greeted by Angel and his wife. They were extremely welcoming. They brewed us a fresh cup of 787 coffee and spoke to us about the property, the cabins, and all about the exotic animals and birds that also reside on the property. The hacienda is 103 acres and we had it all to ourselves! What more could I ask for! The cabin was decorated beautifully…very sleek, modern, but cozy at the same time. We fell asleep to the sounds of birds and the breeze as we watched what appeared to be beautiful blue ghost fireflies outside the big glass French doors that led to our balcony. The cabin also had a heated private pool which definitely added a cherry on top to the relaxing picturesque atmosphere. We look forward to returning with our family and friends. The Hacienda Iluminada Eco Retreat is a hidden wonder in the mountains of Puerto Rico.
