"Wow, wow wow... We booked Uzenie wondering if the rave reviews were too good to be true. There are not. The hotel is exceptional - we have stayed in many places all over the world and Uzenie is genuinely the best. What makes it so fantastic are the amazing staff - their attitude and attention to detail was exemplary. They really go out of their way to be helpful - a few examples: my husband had some important work calls but the rooms are not set up with desks but one of the managers gave up...

Best to get google maps to bring you to Krousonas town center and then put in the property address. Google maps in Crete will have you go down goat paths and should not be trusted. "We had a fantastic stay at this lovely small hotel with amazing staff. It is located about 3K from Rethymnon old town making it a quieter location for a peaceful holiday, but there are still plenty of good eateries and shops near by and a taxi into town is 12 euro. The hotel is beautiful and spotlessly clean. It’s right on the beach and boasts 3 pools (one of which is indoors). There are more sun loungers than guests so you will always find somewhere to soak up the sun whenever you venture...

"Gorgeous setting at this location with sea view. Pool was saltwater and delightful! Nearby village has many great restaurants and a supermarket for easy meals in the kitchenette. Great layout, tv, and ac for sleeping. Wonderful stay."

"Perfect location . Hotel clean and staff friendly and helpful . It wasn’t quite the boutique experience but overall it was good . If I were to describe amenities I would not mention the gym . Equipment old and rusty and not really usable . Needs to be removed . Rooms are fine but slightly tired . Breakfast satisfactory - a reasonable range of food types . I would stay here again but would not expect luxury, however the location makes up for it ."

"Schönes Hotel, gutes Essen, überwiegend freundliches Personal. Leider sind viele Zimmer der Straße zugewandt und diese ist laut und stark befahren. Angeblich haben die Zimmer Schallschutzfenster. Der Unterschied zwischen offenen und geschlossenen Fenster war aber nur minimal! Wenn man nicht wie ein Stein schläft, nicht zu empfehlen."
