Decent hotel

Clean rooms, but a bit dated. Has all the amenities (wi-fi, toiletries in bathroom etc). However the light and fan switches were not at all intuitive. We could not turn off the lights without turning off the fan and had to leave one light on the whole night. Restuarant inside the hotel was good with a full veg menu

This property offers lovely facilities and wonderful food at their restaurants and exceptional service while dining. All staff members are very attentive and ready to help. The only drawback was the shower stall that was not totally clean. There is much scum build up around corners and sink fixture could be cleaner. Overall, it was a pleasurable stay and we would stay again when in Mangalore. Very good value for money spent.

We stayed one night at this hotel. A J Grand has pub on 7th floor and we stayed at 5th floor. We called multiple times that we couldn’t sleep due to the pub loud music. The front-desk representative told me that it will be there till 12:30 am midnight. We were surprised of the response of the hotel that they couldn’t do anything. The music was very loud and with intensive vibration. Our sleep was disrupted due to the hotel facilities of Pub which were out of their control. We stayed at Executive room with higher hotel charges per night. Breakfast & staff services were excellent.
