"We were pleasantly surprised by our stay at the Innside and would definitely recommend it. The staff was very kind and helpful and the room was a good size and modern, nice view of the city. The location was easy to get to from the Piccadilly train station by either bus or tram. It was a great location if attending a match or tour at Old Trafford. Walkable to a lot of restaurants and the Science museum which our kids enjoyed. We did breakfast at the hotel which we had prebooked and it was great as well. Buffet style with lots of options. The hotel restaurant was nice and worked out well for dinner too. "

"We were looking forward to our stay here having visited a Voco hotel is Strasbourg previously. Unfortunately, this hotel fell short. On the positive side it was well located and breakfast was decent. However, the hotel is in need of refurbishment and customer service was not great. Our room was not available at check in so we had to wait. It was tired and the door did not fit properly creating a knocking sound every time another door was opened on the floor. This also meant soundproofing was not good. For some reason we were put in an accessible room which we had not asked for. The air conditioning worked but the room smelled musty, possibly of stale smoke, as did the rest of the corridor. The curtains to the very dark room did not fit correctly letting in light early morning and overall the room looked rather tired. We would not stay again. "

"The street was rather noisy (not the the hotel’s fault ) bed not that comfortable payed for breakfast unfortunately it didn’t start till 8 so couldn’t have it due to running the marathon"

"It’s been a while since I stayed at the Alan. It’s alright but has bizarre elements that take the edge off it being better. My upgraded room had a large aircon unit bolted to the ceiling that made a strange noise every so often despite not being on, the lead on the kettle isn’t long enough so you have to boil it on the floor, and in this room the toilet roll holder was broken. The beds are good and it’s a nice space, but I’d advise taking earplugs! Definitely go for breakfast over the road at The Vienna Coffee house, it’s really good."
