The hotel's bed was so comfortable and the food was delicious. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make sure that I had everything that I needed. I would definitely stay here again

It was Museum like. Part old colonial Spanish and part modern art gallery. Carlos, the resident painter and owner, is a real character with good English. Ana on the front desk is also good with the English. I went back again on my way out of the country. Limited area dining.

Staff is incredibly friendly, specially Sarita. Good Breakfast with fresh fruit drinks, coffee and eggs any style. The art around the place and the antiquities make the place refreshing. The suite is comfortable and clean. Definitely returning soon.

Great place to stay. It feels like a boutique hotel in many ways as the owner has an abundance of wonderful paintings and sculptures on the walls and communal areas, even in the bedrooms. The breakfast/reception area is like a gallery with beautiful carved furniture in an old colonial building (also has an modernish extension). Breakfast made to order has only a few choices but was delicious with plentiful coffee. Staff are delightful, chatty and so helpful. They organised a volcano trip within mins when my pre paid and booked Viator trip was cancelled on the day. The hotel guide was also also much cheaper and great fun and helpful. Wifi was good but you may need to change connection if you move from eg reception to your room. Air con good, location very quiet and safe and a 25 mins walk to the lake passing by most attractions. Reception even arranged for a pre packed breakfast for my 5am departure. Loved this place and would definitely stay again. For the little extra cost over a standard room, the suites are worth it.

At La Posada, when you are there, you are family! Besides being a nice place to stay, it is quiet, an art gallery, excellent breakfast choices, high quality locally grown coffee, and the most important, is the welcoming and caring feelings you experience from the time you check in until the time you leave. The owner of the property, his family and staff are very well engaged in making sure the visitors are at home, comfortable and enjoying an experience they desire to repeat again and again every time they visit Managua. We had an awful experience here. Booked deluxe rooms, which they had busy and relocated us to a cheap ugly room out of the main house. When I complaint about it the owners were very unpolite even disrespectful yelling about what did I wanted them to do.. well I wanted my room I payed for. We had to call Expedia for help to relocate to another hotel. The place looks nice but the staff is beyond awful

Arcángel is a gem in La Bolonia, a quiet, centrally-located neighborhood in Managua. Beautiful facility, stunning art, attentive staff, delicious food (and not just breakfast!) At the prices they charge it's beyond a bargain.

This is my second visit in a matter of a few weeks. The first was marred by an unsolicted breakfast knock on my door on a sunday morning at 7am (room service went to the wrong room) and this stay was marred by a drunk guest attempting to get into my room, also on a sunday morning> he lost his key, Reception gave him a master key accessing all rooms and had I not engaged the chain lock he would have entered my room. That said the facilities are very nice, room service for breakfast also very good.

The staff was amazing! The owners, Carlos and Anna Maria, were very helpful and took very good care of us! The room was clean and provided everything we needed. The location was excellent for walking to stores, restaurants, and the Covid testing sight. The breakfast was really good! We definately would stay there again when we are in Managua.

A hidden gem and wonderful hosts
This a truly a family run hotel that made me feel part of the family. Great, welcoming service, a quiet, spacious room, and the owner/chef served up a delicious, healthy meal for dinner. I loved all the art on the walls and even the ceilings. Much of it painted by the owner and his father. So much better an experience for me than sterile, modern hotel. I will certainly be back when in Managua again.

Excellent Customer Service
Customer service was excellent. The breakfast was great. The room was very large and spacious. Better attention to details is needed when it comes to cleaning, but I would stay there again.

The hotel is an art gallery, even pre-Columbian art is on display. The place is very clean, staff very helpful, and boss-lady, Anna Maria, is practically a concierge, making your wishes possible, literally, like giving specific directions to points of interest or ordering typical local food to be delivered to hotel for you. Very nice place!

My room was disgusting and dirty. It smelled like mold and sewage. The refrigerator was unplugged, the freezer had melted and there was dirty puddle of water and mold throughout the refrigerator. The bathroom smelled like sewage and mildew and the ceiling was being repaired but had not been finished. For the price this is expensive by Nicaragua standards especially for a small hotel in a bad neighborhood. My wife and I rely on the Travelocity reviews to get us to the best places and this is almost always the case. The Travelocity reviews have led us to many great places in Nicaragua but this was not one of them. I have no idea how this hotel could have a higher rating on Travelocity and the other ones we stayed in. The other ones have been On par with the ratings or even exceeded them. I’m not soft by any sense but this may have been the worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in.

Amazing staff!
I couldn’t be more impressed by this cute family run hotel. My boyfriend wasn’t feeling well so we were room bound. In the middle of the afternoon I was starving and the staff went out of their way to order me food. They also helped us arrange transport to the airport which was convenient, affordable and very comforting!

Great place, great breakfast, great staff!
We had a really brief stay but we were very pleasantly surprised and happy! Our room had two stories complete with a living room kitchen floor with a bathroom and then the bedroom and full bathroom upstairs! The staff was really friendly and accommodating. But my favorite part was the breakfast! It was a feast and so delicious! Overall it was the perfect start to our trip and they were great with our ultra late arrival time of 2am.

Artistic Wonderland
I grew bored with cookie cutter hotels that offer versions of the tired templates. So now I hunt through photos to find places that still have a personality all their own. I knew we made the right choice, as soon as we saw the gorditas in front. I was also struck by the bold metal sculpture, and so much more. But, i dont want to spoil all the finds. Each nook has its own. And that's one of things I liked most. They're continually adding to their collection of paintings and other artwork. You might wake up one morning, peek into the hallway, and several new pieces will have taken the place of others. Stories behind certain works, made them all the more interesting. The Callejas are a multi-generational family of talented artists, and welcoming hosts. A few minutes in, we felt more like personal guests. In the morning, little parrots landed in the tree over their wall. I loved the typical breakfast. Fresh juice, coffee, a variety of local fruits, along with gallo pinto a choice of entrees, toast and jam. Yum. 7 some odd kilometers to the airport. The hotel is also close to several things (1-3 km,) including the harbor, palace, mini mall, arboretum, and museum. Can't say enough good things. We're already looking forward to heading back.

A quiet night in Managua
A comfortable room and a delicious traditional Nica breakfast in a pretty courtyard. Staff was very friendly and helpful with getting around the local area.
