A warm welcome and lovely room, staff were excellent,the location was great. Only very slight downside was the awkward shower (but it is an old building!). Would be very happy to stay again.

Easy parking, great food, lovely and helpful staff, the room was clean but there were a few issues. We were given a key with a code to get back into the building after dark, and the code was also on a help sheet when we first checked in but this was code was incorrect. So we had to work out which code would get us in the door. Additionally, there was a leak in the bathroom. The windows also had condensation on them and there was little mould in the corners which isn’t ideal.

On the edge of the Cotswolds.

Very enjoyable one night stop over. Very professional service and delightful country inn restaurant. The building is historic and full of character. Kes looked after us very well.

It was extremely nice in a very quiet environment which suited me well. Very well appointed and well thought out. Excellent food and wine, and friendly staff. Would be nice to be able to have a cooked breakfast during the week. Overall excellent.

Perfect Cotswolds overnight!

We decided very last minute to stay in the Cotswalds overnight. I wanted to experience a staying a traditional inn. The Horse and Groom was perfect! We couldn't have asked for anything better. The guestroom was beautiful, clean and comfortable. We booked just an hour before we arrived, but they were gracious to accommodate us. The Inn is picturesque, the breakfast was amazing even though we were there on Monday when they do t offer their full breakfast menu. The service was the best we have ever received. If we are ever back in the Cotswolds, we will definitely make a point to stay at The Horse and Groom again.

Absolutely excellent!

We booked for a weekday night and enjoyed a very quiet and peaceful stay. The staff were incredibly kind and made everything clear from the moment we arrived. Upon entering our room, we were instantly impressed by the clean, spacious, and beautifully presented accommodation. It featured a large bathroom, a big TV, a kettle, a fridge, and a very comfortable bed. We even had a stunning view from our large open window overlooking the front car park (a lovely car park!). Breakfast was included the next morning and it was absolutely delicious. The team was very accommodating of my wife's dietary requirements, reassuring us about the gluten-free options and putting us completely at ease. The staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming, greeting us with calmness and big smiles. A big thank you to the pub manager for all her help. We highly recommend this spot for a relaxing night away or a few days’ holiday. We’ll absolutely be booking another visit soon!

Room was quite small, had to crouch down to get through the door. But once in was cosy, stayed when it was really cold and was nice and warm in the room. Bathroom was a bit dated and could do with a refresh, as well as the bedroom. Food was tasty in the restaurant below. Only stayed the night in between working around uk, would stay the night again.

Everything was excellent, and Kes went above and beyond even though they were short staffed. The only downside was Expedia taking the deposit from us and not paying The horse and Groom, which is provung difficult to resolve through no fault of our or Kez and her team.

Looks super from the outside, but not as clean as it could be outside, needs to be swept everyday to get rid of the cigarette butts, no proper shower in our bathroom, no space to put anything in the bedroom, our room had not been cleaned, had to ask for clean towels.

The hotel had no emergency number or way to contact staff outside of business hours. We were locked out of our room for hours and had no assistance. Additionally, none of the VIP benefits were received, food from the pub below can’t be eaten or delivered to the room, and the check-in is simply the bar. Staff were generally unhelpful.
