Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
We have lived in PNG for years so honestly this hotel was not bad in respect to what we would expect from a PNG hotel. The rooms were fairly clean and there was aircon and a fan which were a huge plus. The reason for my 2 star review was more so because of the inconsistency between the ad on Expedia and what was actually at the hotel. The photos were not at all accurate. The description of the room we would have was not accurate (were told our rooms would come with basically a mini kitchen complete with microwave and stovetop, but it came with only a hotpot and mini fridge and the fridge in one of the rooms did not work). Also there was no wi-fi, which had been one of the reasons we chose it, because my kids needed internet for their schooling. Also the pool was empty and under construction and the gym was being turned into an office.
Again, the facilities were fine, just not what we expected from the ad on Expedia and it would be helpful to update it so others are not caught off guard.
