Nice place, good value for money.

Overall good value for money, convenient location. Had a small issue with the TV not working, but no big deal as it was a late night stay anyway so I didn't bother contacting anyone about it. Would stay here again for the convenience on my next visit.

This property has everything you need for a short or extended stay! Its modern and up to date! Beds confortable! We did have issues with wifi and rooms not quite soundproof (apologies to the floor we were on my son was exceptionally loud and obnoxious. ) loved sitting on the balcony and watching the bats

We really liked the interior and design of the 1 bedroom apartment we stayed in. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised that the apartment absolutely corresponded to the photographs presented on the hotel website. (It often happens that everything looks beautiful in the photo, but not in reality). All furniture is in excellent condition, clean, cozy, comfortable. Another nice addition is that the hotel is located near the Queen's Park, that is convenient for morning walks or exercise.

The apartment was fine it was clean and had everything we needed. The only downside was the screen door to the balcony wouldn’t open properly, the tiles on the balcony floor were all lifting up and could be a trip hazard. The balcony also needed a good pressure clean.

Booking and check-in were straight forward, easy and professional. Room: clean with exception of crockery (dishes) and glasses, which we had to wash. This may be a consequence of only a single sachet of dishwashing liquid and a single dishwasher capsule being provided for multi-day stays. Maybe the hotel would consider providing sufficient washing liguid/capsules for length of stay. Overall, the apartment was very clean, well appointed and quiet. We would recommend this property, and will stay again. Check Out: straight forward with no delays.

Great Place to stay, awesome pool and comfortable rooms and off street parking. Close to coles and other food options. A short drive to Mackay skatepark, shopping centre and lagoon. We will be back!

Lovely hotel and clean rooms. The pub across was road had bands playing on the Friday and Saturday night, until 11pm or so and could be heard quite loud in our room which was at the front of the front of the property.

Accommodation in Mackay can get quite pricey, but the Carlyle has all the same facilities - pool, great rooms etc - for a lot less than I am used to paying. Won't be staying anywhere else moving forward - glad I found this little gem!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. The main bedroom had 2 windows. One big set with an extensive amount of bird poo on the outside- it was disgusting. The other window had no curtains or blind on it and let the outside lights in all night, and the sun at 5am, and it rattled in the wind. The other bedroom had a bed that was uneven. I will be asking Expedia for a partial refund as we could not use the 2nd bedroom which I paid good money for.
