"Our room was fastidiously clean and kept tidy. Staff was amazing and made sure all our needs were met, and went out of their way to make us welcome. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The service during meals was just outstanding--we did not have to wait between courses or for our glasses to be refilled as staff kept a close eye. "The worst “hotel” imaginable. Staff have no idea what they’re doing. No wifi (i mean who needs wifi). I was told to be ready at 6 am sharp for transport to the city. It never came. The hotel reception said that in Peru when we say 6 am we really mean 7 am. Unbelievable. I only woke up at 5 am and was there 15 minutes early. I had to hitch a ride with another couple’s driver (pure luck) to get to the city, My driver is still probably on his way. The worst part is in my haste I left behind my hat. Don’t speak a word of English for those that don’t speak Spanish. Avoid this like the plague."

"We stayed in this hotel and the attendant was excellent. She ordered a pizza for us and she delivered it to our room. Room was clean and with enough space for two. Chivay was a passing town on our way to Puno. It is small and there is nothing to do. "
