Prisen svarte overhode ikke til standaren på hotellet. Rommet hadde ikke stol(er), ikke leselys. Ikke leselys i oppholdsrom, ikke tv. Middagen var så der. God frokost
Hotellet hadde akkurat åpnet for sesongen. Vi ble tatt godt i mot. Informasjon ble gitt på engelsk. Servicen var bra og rommene rene. Det var litt "langt og kronglete" å komme oss til rommet med bagasje. Ingen heis.
Maten var "midt på treet". Det vil forhåpentligvis være med "liv og røre" i området rundt når sesongen starter for fullt.
Vi hadde et koselig opphold på Tørvis. Nydelig 3-retters middag og deilig frokost. Rommet var lyst og fint, med flott utsikt til hagen. Behagelig seng! Anbefales på det varmeste. Dette er nok et hotell vi kommer til å bruke flere ganger.
Utmerket servise fra de unge mennesker som var helt topp, men vi hadde en trist episode kort tid etter ankomst. Vi gikk ut i haven med en plastpose med diverse eiendeler og aviser/blader. En dame henvendte seg til min kone med beskje om at det ikke er lov å spise medbrakt mat i haven. Vi mener det ikke er i orden at tiltale gjester på denne måte, og er meget skuffet over denne henvendelse og synes den er upassende.
This hotel was conveniently located along a road which has a lot of drive-able scenic spots to stop and sight-see. The hotel was exquisitely decorated and very unique -- lots of antiques and interesting pieces. Think of it as bed-and-breakfast meets larger hotel. I took my coffee in the morning and found some private spots in the lounge area to look out over the fjord and investigate my surroundings. Our room had a patio, so access to the outdoors was easy. Breakfast was decent. We had a problem with the rental car and the hotel staff were wonderful in accommodating for a phone and access at front desk as much as we needed. I would definitely recommend this hotel for travelers and visitors to Norway, as I think it adds some character not found in other, more sterile hotels along the way.
Potential is massive as the hotel has a stunning location. Problem is the restaurant which could be so much better. Not only is it over-priced but worse was the fact customer service didn't seem to matter.
This was shown by food running out and basically everyone shrugging their shoulders.
For some of the choices to run out at dinner seemed surprising given the menu isn't that extensive but for milk to run out at breakfast suggests something worse. First how this can happen in a hotel is beyond us. Worse was that someone didn't go out and buy some more, overall gave the impression that nobody seemed to care. So as I say could be so much better.
