"The building and the rooms were nice- soft towels, quality shower products. Its a boutique hotel with some antique flair. We had 2 stays separated by a few days where we saw some family. We stayed in suites so we would have some kitchen access. Though there was a microwave, they had no plates or mugs that could safely be used- there were only glass plates and drinking glasses. The chairs in the rooms were not very comfy. But most surprising was that we only saw any staff the first day, before we received the room codes. There is no elevator and so we had to carry our bags up and down 1-2 flights of steep stairs- no so easy for us retirees. That first day we had some assistance as the innkeepers son happened to be around."
"Our experience at cardinal inn: The staff was very nice. He upgraded our room which we did not expect. The room was clean and spacious. We were there just to sleep then move on the next day. All was well except for one issue. I had my toiletries bag on the window ledge (not any space for these things in bathroom) and the next morning there were gazillion ants all over my bag. Unfortunate. Otherwise a great place to stay."
"My daughter and I stayed over Memorial Day weekend to visit family in the area. We had an excellent stay, staff are so friendly and welcoming, the room was very clean, no odors at all, spacious room and bathroom. We will stay here again."
"It’s a great location to stay for convience. If you are a smell sensitive person though I don’t suggest it as there was an awful stench. Basic amenities nothing special except convenience of location."
"Spacious room and bathroom, rustic style with nice balcony and chairs, all well clean. Enjoyed drinks at the Tap room. Classic American menu at restaurant. Gift shop nice selection and good options for snacks and drinks."
