From the moment we arrived we were provided exceptional and personalized service. The grounds are beautiful… perfect for breakfast or cocktails by the fire. Love the old Hollywood decor with beach room uniquely designed around different Hollywood legends.
From the moment we arrived and were greeted with a warm welcome and drinks, we knew that we were so lucky to be able to stay here. The decor is elegant and lovely, the courtyard is a wonder, and our the room couldn’t be more charming. I wish that I had space here to brag more, but the best service EVER is a good place to end my happy review!
Really special butique hotel with old Hollywood feel. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone. Rooms are beautiful and spacious. Bed is very comfy. Its walkable distance to major attractions. Staff is super friendly. And breakfast is amazing. Exceeded my expectations.
Absolutely loving my five-star stay at The Prospect Hollywood! The room is incredibly charming—beautifully designed and immaculate. Not a detail out of place. The entire property is spotless and serene, making it the perfect escape in the heart of the city. What really sets it apart is the staff: they went above and beyond to ensure my experience was top-tier, fully aware that I’m used to five-star standards. So far, it’s exceeded every expectation. Highly recommend!

It’s a cool spot but definitely some funky smells..old carpet etc… When I checked in, they showed me to a “hidden” room in the back corner of the property. No views of the courtyard and the room seemed ridiculously small. Also that smell.. Pretty sure they thought I was some weirdo single guy and that’s why they treated me that way. I was about to vacate and just forget about it and take the $200+ loss, but my girlfriend convinced them to change our room.
I guess I seemed more normal when they realized I wasn’t a lone traveler.
All in all it was a decent place to crash but probably wouldn’t go back. The Valet setup is ridiculous too. I didn’t fall for it.
I enjoyed an outstanding experience at The Prospect Hotel - didn’t really know what to expect, but booked because of the good price and high Expedia rating. Turns out this is my new favorite small hotel in LA. The property is in exceptional condition - I heard today is their 4th anniversary, but in addition to being in great condition everything is spotlessly clean, and the place really captures the glamour of Old Hollywood - down to the rooms being named after classic stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age. I was welcomed during check-in with a glass of sparkling wine, shown up to the room, and even greeted by name when I came downstairs the next morning. The WiFi worked great, and there’s a superb little courtyard for relaxing and enjoying a drink in the evenings. Really exceptional setting, and service - I highly recommend The Prospect for business and leisure travelers.
I had an amazing stay here and I can’t say enough good things about this property. Kim and all the staff were truly incredible, their service and genuine care made me feel right at home. I stayed in the James Dean room, which was phenomenal: beautifully decorated, spotless, and super comfortable. I also loved that it’s within walking distance of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, such a fun bonus! The outside patio was the perfect spot to relax and unwind, and the bar was excellent too, the Old Fashioned I ordered was one of the best I’ve ever had. Everything about this place exceeded my expectations and I’m already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay!
The staff were kind and very attentive. They knew our names and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. The hotel was chic and comfy and the staff exceptional.
My wife and I had an amazing experience. We stayed here since we were going to the Mumford and Sons concert at the Hollywood Bowl. Hotel was great. Staff was very friendly. We walked back post concert and felt safe. We would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is really nice. Comfortable bed. Clean facilities. Friendly staff. The only negative i would say is there is no elevator if you are taking luggage upstairs, but the staff helped us with our luggage so no big deal. Check in is a little confusing, and super tight driverway. But the staff will valet park for you. All in all, great hotel
PROS: Lovely hotel that feels like an oasis of old school Hollywood class. Charming and responsive staff, comfortable beds and a lovely set of enclosed patios to just enjoy the Hollywood sunshine. Conveniently central location, especially for Hollywood Bowl and flying in via Burbank airport.
CONS: Expedia does not mention a $300 charge/card hold for incidentals. Not a huge deal since it gets refunded at the end of your stay (minus incidentals), just wanted to give everyone a heads-up.
The property had a boutique hotel vibe, with a limited number of rooms and an old Hollywood feel. The courtyard was very zen, and the location is very central. However, the best part of my stay was the staff, who were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and kind. I was genuinely surprised, as Californians often seem snobby and short. I will stay there again.
