Oak Park Motel has an attention to detail that most off-brand motels don't. Everything in the room works great - television, refrigerator & microwave are excellent & the television remote is like new (they're usually beat-up and worn out.) The building looks like a hollywood movie set and the neighborhood is surrounded by suburban retail (sprouts & trader joes are about a mile and a half away.) Overall this is a 5 star budget motel (clean, safe, roomy, affordable.) My only complaint is the loud A/C unit (measured around 65 decibels on my iphone app - below pain threshold but loud enough to interfere with low volume conversation and television.) And the "pillows" feel more like bolsters than pillows. I slept great after driving all night from el paso so i'm happy enough to give 5 stars.

Property is small and quaint. The room was very clean. Lots of stores and restaurants within walking distance. Parking is also good. Everyone has a parking spot in front of their room.

Good for one night stay

The room and bath were very clean! I found the room to be cold even with heat on. The heater was quite noisy and I needed it on all night. It was reasonably priced for a place to sleep after a long drive from San Diego and a party. If the facility wants business guests, a desk and chair are needed.

There is a point when the sheets need to be replaced, not wash and use again. Not the best feeling to see clean sheets but with stains. Also pillows were supper firm, beyond sleeping comfort.

I come here roughly around twice a month and I love it here! Since my father passed, and I had to move in to take care of my mother(she has dementia), whenever my partner and I get a chance to take a break we come here to relax and unwind even if its for a few hours. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The view outside is absolutely beautiful. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I will continue to come here and enjoy the comforts this place offers.
