I’ve found some really nice hotels for a bargain while staying in LA and this was not one of them. I really tried to like this hotel but there were too many red flags: room card constantly failing, no central A/C, no remotes to the TV, understaffed. The location is unbeatable but if you stay aim to get the best looking room possible.

My room smelled like cigarettes, when i opened the microwave there was really bad smelling food in there I'm guessing from the previous guest, that night I saw roaches on the ground. I checked out the next day a day early.

Broken Lamps, No Remotes, No Coffee Maker!

2 of the lamps were broken, so the room was never properly lit. There was no coffee maker. There were no remote controls (we had 2 TVs), so the gentleman at the desk gave us one of his.

Not ideal. My room was stale, headboard had a big punctured hole, shower had black mold spots up towards the ceiling and wall, the wall & paper were pealing in the bathroom, floor tiles were cracked & broken, the floor boards had dust and dirt all over them. The sink was leaking all over the vanity and there was dried blood spots on the shower curtain along with comforter. I walked for a moment without socks and the floor was dirty…the staff wasn’t exceptionally kind, and pretty positive there are goats living in the property behind the hotel.

Could be better

Customer service was great and they were able to accommodate and fix all issues that were presented but when we checked into our room, the AC unit didn’t work and the door wouldn’t lock properly and they needed security to let us in for first 24 hours until we had maintenance come up and install a strike plate for the door to be truly secure. The bed was very comfortable but the floor inside the room was extremely dirty. Don’t walk barefoot without wipes by the bed!!!

If you truly only need a place to sleep and are desperate I guess this place could maybe work out for you however I genuinely recommend trying anywhere else first. Help desk was okay but unfortunately it's the location and the people who booked the rooms as well as the random people that walk onto the property that make it bad. As soon as I stepped into my room there was a foul stench which made me immediately return the key and look elsewhere and immediately gave everything back and did not stay.

From the moment i stepped into the hotel it had a bad smell. The elevator and stairs smelt bad. There was no toilet paper. There was flies everywhere and the rooms where not clean.

The images on hotel.com looked nothing like the actual room. I booked a room with 2 queen beds, which they dont offer. Instead we got 1 bed with no blankets, and an uncomfortable pull out bed also with no blankets. We stayed for 2 days and did not get new towels or any kind of cleaning service. There was trash and garbage everywhere. We felt like someone was going to break in at any point. Not a safe area.

Sleepless in Silverlake

Usually stay here when visiting from out of town but the last stay was unbearable. Sign in lobby says no visitors. Room next to me had over 20 visitors up all night and outside my door. Called manager twice, still no solution. Left at 3 am exhausted from no sleep.

Let’s just say the room was not cleaned at all no linens, no remotes for the TVs, needles behind the furniture, horrible. I asked to switch rooms and when I did that room was not cleaned as well.
