"The room was clean and offered a lovely view, which made for a pleasant stay. However, the breakfast selection was quite basic, and the quality and taste left much to be desired. For dinner, the restaurant menu was limited in variety, but the dishes we tried were flavorful and well-prepared.

"I was met with a very engaging owner who showed me through the hotel. My room was small but very clean with a comfortable bed and efficient heating. Bathroom was a shared bathroom but was very clean and plenty of hot water and large 'fluffy' towels. The evening meal was very tasty and there was not a long waiting time for the meal. Very helpful and friendly staff. A beautiful country hotel and I would highly recommend staying at this hotel."

"What a great historical hotel in the heart of Ballarat. The room was up to date and the staff was helpful with our luggage. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious and the service excellent. There was no problem with parking on site, especially upon our late night return from the Sovereign Hill Aura event. "
"Helpful, friendly and knowledgable staff. Was away with work so the indoor pool, spa and sauna was amazing after a hard day. Only issue was bed was a bit lumpy and too much light coming thru windows at night"
