Duke William Hotel

"We really enjoyed staying at The Duke Williams. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, the included breakfast was delightful (really loved the blueberry pancakes!), and we loved how close it was to the Cathedral and castle. We also appreciated the sound-proofing of the room and the natural light through the windows. The only thing that was tough for us was the mattress. Combined with the heat wave and no air conditioning, it made for a tough sleep unfortunately. The room did come with standing fans, but even at their highest power and the window cracked open, it couldn’t combat the heat. We would definitely stay here again, but hope that the bed would be made a bit more comfortable and that some stronger fans would be offered."

"- Great location, easy to get to by car and surprisingly quiet at night time. -About a 10-15 min drive into the city centre which was perfect for us and wouldn’t cost much for a taxi if wanted either. -The hotel reception staff were welcoming and friendly, and the reception area is clean and modern. -Our room was lovely, spacious, and had everything we needed. - There’s a golf sim/sport bar and restaurant next door which you get discount to - And a fuel station on site! We didn’t realise but was a bonus -The ONLY downside is that the shower didn’t work properly but, as we were only staying 1 night, we didn’t go through the hassle of moving rooms. I’m sure the reception team would have been more than accommodating if we’d asked."

"Will stay again Wanted an outdoor space to sit as it was hot day just to enjoy the weather but didn’t find one but it was cool and lovely indoors in the seating area inside. Room clean Well maintained"

"The shower control was basically the easiest to use but it might be beneficial to have a notice above it stating: "Water pressure is constant so the knob is to just alter the temperature""

"Fabulous hotel the decor is amazing lovely bar area and restaurant etc bit disappointed by the so called private secure car park wall fallen down no barrier etc our room was large very nicely decorated but no air con was extremely hot and stuffy and room was above the kitchen extractor fans incredibly noisy and smelly don't want to really smell boiling vegetables at 8 am!!!? Or 11 pm for that matter did get us a gan to try and help but didn't really make a lot of difference a different quieter room and air con it would be a 5 star hotel excellent location"

"We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel was very convenient for walking into Lincoln and shopping, with many and varied pubs, bars and restaurants within a short distance, but driving was a different matter. Luckily we managed to find a space in the Hotel car park every night - it seemed to fill up quite early - and didn't need to pay the extra to use the NCP down the street, so that was good! On the other hand, and this is no reflection on the Hotel, we seemed to find ourselves stuck in traffic, stuck in one-way systems, stuck on the opposite side of the city every time we tried to leave or return to our base. Lincoln isn't for driving in!"

"Next to the main road so extremely noisy at night. Also next to the police station so lots of cars and sirens in the middle of the night. Poor night's sleep! Would not recommend. Otherwise clean and staff online were helpful."

"The hardest bed in the world! Been to this hotel many times (we even had our wedding reception there when they first opened). We stayed in December and had the worst night's sleep due to a rock hard mattress. Thought it was just bad luck as never been like it before, stayed again this week and clearly they have changed all mattresses. Worst night sleep ever! Mattress so hard!. Not what you expect from a luxury hotel!"

"Absolutely beautiful hotel, the 2 bedroom apartment was really lovely and excavate for money. Breakfast was wonderful, unfortunately it was quite noisy from outside (a Friday night) but the hotel was so nice I’d stay again regardless"
