"Great spot in Altoona. Near restaurants, shops and the highway. Very friendly front desk staff. I needed some help with my door card and I saw them helping others with their situations too. The room was good. Clean. The breakfast has a lot of choices. My only issue was a weird smell in the hallway. Probably just a strong cleaning solution. Once I was in my room, I couldn’t smell it. Felt safe. Slept well. I’d stay there again; it was much better than the nearby place I stayed in last time."

"This property, Raystown Country Lodge, is a real gem! The rooms have been redone and are sparkling clean. and very well done. The staff, the owner is normally around and on sight and has done an excellent job of bringing back this hotel. There is a full bar & grill on sight which makes staying very convenient. Having dinner and/or drinks and walking to your room. The check-in is contact free, you are given a code and check in with it all on line. About 2 miles to historic downtown and shops and stores. Right next door to an antique auto museum. Great for car people. Right at the top of Raystown Lake and the drive through the mountains and area is beautiful. thinking of going back in the fall as II assume it would be great. Check this place out on your tours through the area."

"The rooms were descent and clean enough and no bugs that I saw. I would not use the tea/coffee machine though. Staff were professional and friendly, and the continental breakfast was a very nice touch. Was in the area for the Sci-fi Valley con and the location was near enough to the convention."
