"This place really holds a special significance for my partner and me, for a lot of different reasons. But recently, I unfortunately left my wedding ring there, and they were incredibly understanding and even went above and beyond to ship it right back to me safely. Because of this, I will always be deeply grateful for the kindness and flexibility they demonstrated.But besides that, it's also a beautiful view and the cottage are perfect and private"

You never know what history you’ll find camping in Big Sur. This is an old limekiln...used from 1887 to 1890 to extract lime from limestone at very high heat. They then shipped it off to Monterey and San Francisco to build the city. Lime was the key ingredient used in cement. After 3 years however, they’d exhausted all their resources and abandoned them. #adventure
