"Everything was fine but not great. Building is hot and room needed a bit of maintenance. Staff were friendly but not very welcoming or helpful. Quiet location and good price."

"Delightful visit to The George and Dragon! Friendly and obliging staff, great pub, room and breakfast. Rooms renovated to a high standard and beautifully furnished. Loved the windows which could be opened to cool the room and bonus bath to relax in. Friendly bar staff when we had a drink in the pub before bed and lovely lady served us at breakfast. Really impressed and highly recommend a stay. 10/10"

"Our room was excellent very quiet with lovely comfortable bed, nice bed linen, towels and plenty of tea&coffee etc. Breakfast was delicious. We ate evening meals at the hotel which were homemade and great quality and reasonable price. New owners have taken over hotel just over 2 mths ago and we found them to be very friendly, welcoming and hard working. "Changed rooms due to excessive noise of the outside air-conditioning only to get a room which took your breathe away by the heat of the hot water pipe running through the room. Baring in mind it was still very hot outside. It's the first time we've slept in a room which was on par with a sauna. Not at all pleasant or comfortable. Told by reception they couldn't put the water pipe off as it supplied hot water for the other rooms. Very disappointed the room we had. All other parts of the hotel...

"Amazing location and amazing hotel. We loved our stay however it could do with some refurbishment. It is a dog friendly place so maybe could do with a deep clean in the restaurant area. The food was good but all the dog hair everywhere was a bit unpleasant. However we would still come back."

"I really like the ethos of this B&B, it tries hard to be eco in its vegetarian background to it's use of shampoo etc in refillable containers. The owners were very helpful, they were happy to aid us in charging our car and if you have an electric car you will know what a pain it can be searching for a place to top up."
