"Lovely old-fashioned pub with a warm welcome We had a lovely overnight stay here. It’s a charming, old-fashioned pub with friendly and helpful staff who made us feel very welcome. The rooms are no-frills but have everything you need—spotlessly clean, with crisp white bedding and a really comfortable bed. We had a great night’s sleep. "Lovely little inn in very quiet location (though easy to get to Halifax). Room was great size, good facilities, bed was comfy! We had a nice view of a sheep field. Cooked breakfast was only available Friday - Sunday, but we were provided with a little cool bag of breakfast items which was unexpected bonus. We only stayed one night for an event in Halifax, but would definitely stay again and for longer."

"A good find, lovely room, only downside for elderly less mobile was shower over bath but it was a great shower. Staff very attentive and polite. Food at dinner was good, freshly cooked but a little slow. Great setting and would recommend and certainly go again if in the area."
