"They started laying carpet and had blocked the doorway. They were so helpful and very concerned about my safety. (I use a cane). They helped me get the luggage cart from the entry, over the blocked doorways and back out to the lobby after I had loaded it. The desk manager helped me take the cart akk the way to my car and helped me Unload it. He definitely went beyond with kindness. I am already booked in for my return trip home. Excellent halfway point between my friends home and mine."

"Nice, clean property that’s just a little bit worn. If you like waffles, you’ll like the breakfast. If you’re looking for protein, the egg bites (that you warm up in the microwave) taste better than they look. The woman who was overseeing the breakfast area kept it clean and well-stocked. If you like an extremely firm mattress (hard), this is your kind of place. The king-bed suite was spacious. "

"Checked out a day early. Was told a manager would contact me about a refund for the day I didn’t stay. Never heard a word out of them. Still got charged."

"You get what you pay for. The room was cheap, but the guy at the front desk had zero customer service skills. It took us a literal 30 minutes to get into the room after 3 trips back and forth with problems with the key, until he finally switched our room to another one. It was also dirty. The breakfast area had broken tables (like the marble tops were chipped enough you’d scrape your arm on them) and cracked leather seats, and the back of the booth next to us had stuff caked all over it. "I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express multiple times and other locations. This one was the least enjoyable the room was not cleaned between days of my stay one of those days was my fault as I left the do not disturb sign on the door by accident but the other days I expected the room to get cleaned and it didn't the room had obvious signs of excessive wear and it appeared the bathroom had been flooded at an earlier time as you could see a watermark on the door in the bathroom"

"The property was listed as newly renovated, and it certainly was not! Only the flooring looked new. The pictures online do not match what you actually get. Bed very hard and simply one mattress on a metal frame. Doors/locks did not feel secure. Very poorly insulated, we could hear every little noise from other rooms and the road. The first room we went into was so strong cleaning product/chemical smelling that it made eyes water and induced an asthma attack. Second room was stale old smoke...

"Really cool CCC-made cabins that are so solid. Cool inside but they have AC and a gas fireplace with a small fridge and TV with digital channels. LOTS of character. Some false ladybugs and you may get a visit from a resident mouse but put a granola bar out for her and she’ll party in the bathroom and stop making noise in the bedroom. The restaurant food is really good—try the fish fry! And the area is beautiful and great for walking/hiking, birding, and fishing/wading. Plenty of parking."

"Rooms have an older look to them, but well kept. I’d say my only criticism of the room was the showerheads in the bathroom. Definitely seen years of the hard water, suggest getting some new ones, nothin’ fancy. They were still functional nonetheless."

"The pictures of the place look great online. When we got there, the place was a total dump. We didn't even get out of the car. I would prefer to sleep in my car than this place. Not in this neighborhood though. The whole area is bad. We went to another motel down the road and witnessed a drug deal. Do yourself a favor and drive 10 minutes to the casino district and spent another 25 bucks a night like we did. It was too late to cancel our reservation, so we ate the cost. It was worth it though...
