"The pub is a classic northern rivers pub. Nice outlook from the beer garden. Unfortunately the bar staff we had let the experience down a bit for us. Nice stop in itself, cute little village. Pub looked a bit tired."

"When checking in the lady was busy on the phone and asked her husband to attend to me, unfortunately another guest (who apparently is a regular) came in and was attended to before me. I was upset by this. The room was clean but the toilet seat did not stay up whilst using it."

The rooms and facilities have been updated nicely, and all the amenities described were provided and in perfect working condition. Well priced but could do with some extras like extra towels and blankets, a hand towel, washing up liquid, a chux to wipe benches, a water jug for the fridge and ice cube trays. Inside was pretty nice but outside is right next to the stables and the smell was pretty bad. Thankfully couldn’t smell it inside with windows closed. Overall good value for money"
