Be warned: there is no elevator! Shower and toilet paper hanger were falling apart. Owners should take more pride in their product. Tourism is taken for granted.

No water heater for coffee or tea. Nothing for even having a snack in your room. No refrigerator or microwave, nothing. There was a water pot in the basement which was filthy. No elevator and had to lug all luggage up 3 flights of stairs. It was a non smoking place but guests were allowed to smoke on the verandas which they did. Next door neighbor play loud rock music till 2 in the morning.

Honestly the pictures don’t do this place justice! We had an awesome stay here! I will say the breakfast was interesting. You have to reserve the night before, before 2000. The breakfast could just be included in my opinion, no hot food just breads, cheese, meat, cereal, boiled eggs. Nonetheless, phenomenal place!

The property had a strong, unpleasant odor and was extremely hot. I was unable to keep the windows open because our bedroom faced the outdoor bar. When the windows were open, we could see people drinking, hear loud music, and people could see directly into the room while we were in bed. The hotel provided a fan, but it appeared to circulate dust throughout the room. The following morning, we woke up with severe burning and irritation in our eyes. My daughter also had difficulty breathing and felt like her throat was swelling, which made it difficult for her to breathe. I immediately requested to be moved to another room, but I was told that no other room was available. To make matters worse, I requested towels, but they were never provided. We were unable to take showers and did not even have toilet paper. The bathroom also had a strong sewer-like odor. We were becoming increasingly sick from the conditions, so the following day we had to stay outside the room until approximately 10:00 p.m. just to get fresh air. I also had to repeatedly wake up during the night to check and open the windows when no one was directly outside them. The entire experience was extremely uncomfortable, stressful, and unacceptable.

Room was small and lacked amenities like a refrigerator or A/C but was to be expected for an old Swiss building. However the room was very clean, comfortable and cozy. The restaurant and staff were the highlight of the stay. Everyone was extremely friendly and very helpful. Food was also very good and was one of the more affordable options considering the high prices in Switzerland. If you’re planning to stay in Wengen I highly recommend it !

The hotel is affordable and based in the heart of Wengen. We loved the “Secret Bar.” The accommodations are rustic- we shared a triple room but were rarely in the room. The views were incredible.

Great location, excellent views from the room. Room was as described, it wasn’t glamorous but it was comfortable and we have no complaints. Shower was powerful and great. We knew there was no air con but a fan might have been useful as it was super hot during our visit. Would recommend and would stay again.

Switzerland is pretty unwelcoming in general and this is a ski resort. They made a closet a private shower and bathroom and if you’re above 5ft 10” good luck. They have a common ski room to heat up hot water for tea/coffee. Beds were terrible.

This is not a place to stay for multiple nights in a row. The beds are super uncomfortable, not ideal when you are out hiking all day and want a good nights rest. There is also no AC so the room got really hot. If you are looking for a nice restroom and shower there is only a small shower. Seeing staff is rare but when you do encounter them, they are super nice. I normally don’t write reviews because I’m not a person to complain especially when it comes to nature but the beds were so disappointing. Other than those things the view is breathtaking and it’s a cute village overall

The location of the hotel is excellent right down in the center of town close to shops restaurants and all amenities. Very picturesque of the area from this location. The hotel staff we’re all very nice and kind very friendly. My main criticism is that the room was very very small and there was no air-conditioning. I know that this area tends to be colder when they were experiencing much higher temperatures than normal, but I would think that at least maybe portable fans could be offered if need be. That made it pretty uncomfortable. But other than that, we were happy with our room.

No elevator in hotel and no staff to help seniors carrying luggages up to the 2nd floor. Our room looked clean but we were bitten by bedbugs every night. Very difficult to find any staff at reception for help. Housekeeping only changed our sheets and did nothing about the bedbugs infested mattresses. As a result, we got bedbugs bites continuously at night. I wouldn’t book this property again.

Few resume, room is average, tiny bathroom with no toilet paper and no body for ask or requested, no sign for clean the room and same no body for requested or ask, I left a note in the desk and no one attended, they never cleaned or even asking, in my full stay (3 nights) they tried to charge me 50 CHF for checking in after 6 pm because they don’t have staff, they left me instructions for checking in and those instructions were wrong, I had to figured out, no body in front desk, and I had to pay 260 dlls per night. I told them about every thing and no even a simply empathy or apology for the worse service. The 2 starts is only because the location is beautiful and the view same, but must of the hotels in the area have it. Avoid the place if you can, looking for an other options do it.
