Had a lovely time at the Mencey. Staff absolutely lovely and so friendly, hotel both grand in its colonnaded porches and cool inner courtyard, and comfortable, with many places to have drinks and food in the shade and chill. Spa very well kitted out (extra €18 a day) breakfast spread faultless. Grilled Seafood served on the pool terrace is particularly good.
Pool is great, using salt water instead of chlorine. Food in both terrace and main restaurant delicious.
Only note of warning, they are...

The Room was ok. The bathroom could use a little updating but the room was at a great price, and offered exactly what we wanted. Somewhere not too large but still with a restrurant and buffet breakfast. this fitted the bill perfectly and the breakfast was delicious. the staff were very helpful and the maids even put the oranges we bought in to a fruit bowl for us. The Hotel itslef is in a greta location - very quiet but really accessible and overall we had a fantastic honeymoon. Highly...

Precioso lugar. Rodeado de naturaleza y unas vistas fantásticas. El hotel super bonito, decorado con mucho detalle. La habitación era grande y muy cómoda, como una casa :)
Había mucha paz. El desayuno súper rico! Excelente experiencia. 100% recomendado.

We had a lovely few days staying in the hotel. The breakfast was lovely and the freshly squeezed orange juice a nice addition.
The best tapas bars are near the Tower, the Venetian plus the tapas bar next door. Each place superb.

The room was very clean and perfectly adequate. Paula was fantastic!! I was soaked from the rain, on arrival, and she immediately got me a couple of towels to dry off. She showed me around, and on informing her that I would not be there for breakfast, she prepared me some food to take with me. There was no tv in the room, but all I wanted was to sleep, before the next part of my journey the following day, so I was ok with that. The other guests seemed respectful, as I was not disturbed all...

Based in a fabulous converted old house with an inner courtyard based in the centre of La Laguna within four minutes walk of the cathedral.
We had originally booked Manila suite but, on reading reviews about noise (although apparently it has now been double glazed) and speaking with the property, we decided to upgrade to the Amaro Pargo suite, which was lovely and spacious and at the back of the property, with a large balcony overlooking the inner courtyard and beautiful glazed balcony...

We wanted to be in the thick of things and this hotel was ideal. Less than five minutes walk took us to three beautiful shopping malls, the city's bus station and the hop on hop off tourist bus which stopped right outside the hotel. We didn't eat in the hotel. Breakfast was 16 euros a head and there was a perfect pavement cafe just behind the hotel serving coffee and a delicious pastry which suitred us better. Our room on the 7th floor was clean and very spacious with a table and two...

Nice hotel. Excellent pool and rooftop bar. Big bed and comfortable room. Service very good when shower was faulty (fixed in 10 minutes).
Parking in front of hotel is limited. Had some problems with lifts not working. Hotel is being run at very high occupancy and sometimes had to que at breakfast for a few minutes.
Overall we were happy with the facilities and quality/price. This is a good quality hotel but with a few minor niggles.
