"When you arrive in Java villa boutique hotel, you fell like in a little heaven, it looks gorgeous & relaxing inside with the pool, the plants and the whole reception & common area. It is located in a super nice area, close to restaurants and small shop and close enough from marlioboro. Staff is really nice as always in Indonesia. I absolutely recommend the place ! "

"Lovely little paradise. We loved so much that we extended our stay. The hotel is beautiful. The beds are very confortable. There's not hot water but it wasn't an issue for us. It's very relaxing to stay there and they helped us booking all the excursions. We would definitely come back."

"The hotel was well appointed and the staff was nice and helpful. However, I had to take some points off from the food. On one morning, I ordered pancakes and it seemed to take the kitchen staff forever to finish the order. When the food came, the pancakes were tough and one of them even got burnt edges. Luckily, the waiter took in the complaint and did not charge me for this."

"Beautiful and interesting home with different areas and a little courtyard inside. Carvings and tiles. They had an old radio, record player etc. wonderful if you want to see an old Kotagede type house from the inside. There's a bookshop attached to the house and it has a good selection of books, including Indonesian books translates into English, a section on Javanese culture, and political books like Gramsci etc. Location is good near lots of nice restaurants, walkable to the Mataram makams,...

"I stayed in Yogucarta to see temples Borobudur and Prambanan. This hotel offers reasonable stay for the money. If you're going out please be advised that traffic in the city can be very bad especially in the evening. Also be prepared to hear loudspeakers from nearby mosques (I heard them only the first night, the second was ok)."
