I would stay again, except I would not want the same room. From inside, it opened out to a huge tree! No staff on site. Room was clean, although the bathroom sink clogged up our first day there.
Overall, no worries. I would recommend.
I love this hotel very much. This place is clean and quiet there is bbq place children’s playground. Walk to the beach.
Last time I lived there I left my switch and glasses. I called and they found it, saved for me. Since I cannot came back, they even mailed to me for free.
what a nice place and nice people they are
Enjoyed our stay. Check-in during pandemic was simple and easy with email and text communications. Same for checkout! We had everything in the room except for daily cleaning which we already knew couldn’t happen during pandemic.
Only thing is that our room was fairly colors to street and you can definitely hear the traffic. Other than that a great place for the $$
Love what they have done with the out door games/grilling and fire pits. Pool was also clean and nice. The room was standard fair. Nothing to fancy but very clean and the bed was comfortable. Definitely put the fan in the window at night so it doesn't get to hot. No AC in the room.
We had a great time though and enjoyed the hotel!
Pros:
- Central location near King's Beach and the lake.
- Very clean.
Cons:
- Room was consistently too hot despite having heat set to off.
- Room only had black-out curtains, so if you wanted natural light during the day you had to open the curtains and forgo your privacy (note our room was in front of parking spots and the main road).
- Uncomfortable beds.
- High price for what is little more than a motel (but maybe that's just Tahoe for you).
1.We found a bug under the sheets / black beetle like UGH! not much sleep that room!
2. No air conditioning only a box fan! AND so loud!
3. Not enough available outlets (unless you don't mind charging your cell phone in the bathroom)
4. TV remote needed to be programmed before using.
5. No ice maker on property
6. Overall property needs lots of repair (roofs, room ceiling showed signs of leak, floor boards moved near bathroom side of bed!
6. PLUS Over $200 a night for all this - you decide!

Liked: Cleanliness
The room was clean and matched our expectations. We knew there was no cleaning available during our stay due to the Covid 19 but it would have been nice to have a room

The room I stayed in for $200/night has the following problems:
- The shower is hard to operate and the water changes temperature in the middle.
- There is a loud noise coming from a box installed in front of the open closet. It sounds like water dripping from the shower, but is not, it is like a clock ticking and very loud. It can interrupt your sleep
- The TV has a control remote that is only for channel changing. To turn on/off the TV, you must get up from bed to turn it off, no matter how sleepy you are.
It was not worth $200/night. It looks and feels more like a cheap $60/night motel.
Great place! Clean, mini fridge, coffee pot and microwave. Extra towels in the bathroom. Perfect location! Right across the street from the beach. I will be going back. They are pet friendly!
I will admit, this place was extremely clean and the general area outside of our room was well kept up. The staff was also courteous and very helpful in quieting down the people above us who were partying. However, there were a few important problems to mention that some people may want to know.
First, the beds are as hard as a rock. This problem could easily be remedied by placing one of those micro foam cushions on top. Second, the pool was unusable. It was as cold as Lake Tahoe itself. When we first arrived, we thought it was unusual nobody was in the pool despite it being hot in the middle of the day. Now we know why. Third, the shower is one of those "coffin showers". If you drop a bar of soap good luck trying to pick it up. Also, the shower head was not adjustable. Finally, do not get a room near the pool, because they leave the lights on all night and our room was lit up and it was hard to sleep.
Leah was so accommodating! They are very caring and considerate as my family was there after a funeral. We were very happy with the two bedroom apt. It was perfect for everyone to visit. Thank you so much!
We had a fantastic time, our room was 121 and it was very comfortable. It had a kitchen and a kitchen table, we’re we’re able to eat and make most of the meals in the comfort of our room! We traveled with three little kids and two adults. It is across the street from the lake, it was very beautiful and serene looking. It was our first time to the area but I am hoping for many return trips to Tahoe Vista! And we will definitely return to Vistana Inn! Thank you for making our stay so memorable and enjoyable!
The property was very clean. The building is next to the road so it's not quiet. The building is cinder block and the heater was faulty, noisy, and dusty.. The room and bedding were clean.
