"First, let me just say that the staff at this property is outstanding! I felt like they really cared. That said, they are not enough to overcome the property care itself. They have smoking rooms (Expedia said it was non-smoking), and I was initially assigned a smoking room. It had signs saying non-smoking on the door, but an ash tray and a multitude of burn marks definitely told a different story. The cabinets in the kitchenette were seriously water-damaged, and much of the room felt in disrepair. I walked to the front desk expecting the staff to tell me I just got the last room (they were turning people away when I checked in) and to act like they did not care.
What a pleasant surprise - she really did care! She told me she would check a room to see if it was rental-ready and would be back momentarily. Sure enough, the room had a minor issue (the door handle was upside down) and could be used. The second room was much better, but I did see a roach during my stay. She allowed me to move and this second room was in better condition.
The hotel provides coffee and a coffee pot, and the bedding and towels felt clean (though the towels were quite worn). The only soap in the room was a bar of hand soap, so be prepared for that.
Bottom line: I would NOT return, even though the staff was great!"
