Emerald Lake Lodge

Emerald Lake Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"OMG. Skip going to Lake Louise and go stay at Emerald Lake Lodge. The lake is superb, you can walk the entire way around, the accommodation is gorgeous. We had a King Lakeview room. So beautiful, with our own balcony overlooking the lake through pines. Very spacious room complete with lounge and open fire for the cooler months. The main lodge housed a beautiful restaurant (fabulous food and wines), a bar (with more casual dining), a lounge with huge open fires. There was also an amazing space upstairs with great views. There was a cafe/lunch spot and a spa/sauna (that we sadly did not get to utilise). There were additional tourists there during the day - although they stuck to the walking track and the canoe hire area - and nothing like the hoards at others like Lake Louise. But once they had all left for the day the resort was completely quiet and peaceful. So many stars. There is even a secure guest parking area and shuttle bus available 24/7. This was one of the highlights of our 6 weeks holiday in Canada."

Baker Creek By Basecamp

10/10 Excellent
"We stayed at Baker Creek while traveling in the Canadian Rockies! Location was great as it is 15 minutes from Lake Louise, 20 minutes from the Icefields Parkway, and right on the Bow Valley Parkway. It has the amenities of a hotel, but rustic like camping. We loved sitting along the creek every evening reading a book after an amazing day of right seeing."

"Location was the reason for this place...it was clean, staff were nice, hot tub was nice for use, and laundry was helpful to have. Location to strip mall and Lake Louise Inn for our private shuttle to Lake Morraine was ideal."

Castle Mountain Chalets

"Le seul inconvénient à cet hébergement est la proximité de la voie ferrée, qui est très achalandée, et qui occasionne aux trains d'activer leur signal sonore à toute heure du jour et de la nuit. Pour le reste, hautement recommandé."
