2.5 Star Hotel - Good Location - Free Parking

Pros: Room cost $54 a night Location: View of Ocean and close to all the restaurants Free Parking Cons: Wifi - Okay to Poor - but it is like this with all the hotels Very basic room accomodations and you have to ask for for shampoo to be sent to your room if you need it... Walls very thin and you can hear everyone coming and going through the halls... Free Breakfast - Only includes Coffee, Orange Juice, Toast and Jelly... If you are looking for a clean, very basic accommodations, and don't mind a little bit of noise in the hallways, then should do just fine... Warm Regards, Nick

3rd time here love the location

its been my third stay here at Hotel Perla. Not a fancy hotel but great value, location is best right on Malecon. my toilet had issues so they switch me quick. Great views Sea of Cortez

Great Views right In front of Malecon, great for money

2nd time i stay at Hotel Perla . great location about 15 minutes from la Paz airport. downtown La paz right infront of Malecon(pier) great views. I also rented a car this time and they would park for me in their parking lot. during night some nights small noise from events but what else can you expect from downtown

La Paz Overnight Trip

Awesome. everything was exactly as advertised!! La Paz was absolutely beautiful Hotel staff very friendly and efficient. Immediately notice the cleanliness and brightness of the entire hotel. Our room was large and had a balcony facing the ocean. Some construction going on for the Carnaval outside our window but we knew this going in. Our friends were facing the pool. Also big, roomy, comfortable. Quieter room The Sunset views were stunning. I liken the view to something I might see in the Mediterranean We ate dinner in La Terrazo below. Food, service very good. Can't wait to go back to Hotel Perla

Hotel por el malecón

El hotel tiene una ubicación perfecta, si no traes carro pues salir a comer a un sin número de restaurantes cerca de el, también puedes salir a caminar en las noches por el malecón, la playa se encuentra enfrente.

Only a 3 rating-- could be so much nicer if the rooms were updated with paint and new curtins and comforters --nice location--but was clean Much nicer looking on the outside

Modest hotel

If you don't mind a very modest hotel in a great location, then La Perla fits the bill. I thought for the money it was significantly overpriced. You are apparently paying for the location, certainly not the quality of the accommodations.

On the Malecon

We chose this hotel for its location on the Malecon and it did not disappoint. The room was small but the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the upper deck in the morning drinking a mimosa and watching the activities in the bay.

Good location, views are OK

First time staying at this hotel in La Paz, have stayed at Las Gaviotas before, thought I'd try this since the price was right. Great location, rooms do not have great views of the bay but the first and third floor seating areas do.

Good for a short stay

Hotel Perla is a great bargain. Clean, convenient, free WiFi, well located, free (although small) continental breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff, and convenient and very good restaurant attached. If you are looking for a resort-type stay, or something higher-end (for example a honeymoon, etc) this is not the place, but if you are looking for a place to stay for a couple of days in La Paz as a base or on your way to a fishing or diving excursion or to Baja Camp on Isla Santo Espiritu (HIGHLY recommended), you wont be disappointed. If La Paz is your final and only destination, you may want to choose one of the resorts a couple of miles down the coast.

Two days in La Paz

The hotel location is great. We enjoyed swimming the pool. The room was just ok. All of the staff was excellent and overall an enjoyable experience at La Perla.

La Perla is a Pearl in La Paz

In the center of the La Paz action. Parked and didn't have to use my vehicle the whole time.

Hotel viejo, excelente ubicacion, precio justo.

Ok, el hotel esta un poco viejo, pero esta super bien ubicado y el servicio es bueno.

Es un buen hotel, simples, muy buena ubicacion.

right on the malecon!

wonderful staff, great view from the second floor deck of the bay and malecon. easy to access the centre of that district

Not worth the money, outdated

The hotel needs a major upgrade otherwise people will flock to the new hotels.

Excelente servicio y ubicación

El hotel se encuentra en el malecón por lo que está cerca del centro y de todos los restaurantes y bares de La Paz. El servicio excelente, todo el personal es muy atento y las habitaciones y las áreas comunes del hotel están impecables. Tienen estacionamiento con valet, lo cual es muy cómodo. En la reservación decía que no incluía el desayuno, sin embargo, te dan un vale que incluye jugo, café y pan con mantequilla y mermelada en el restaurante del hotel, así que si consumes algo más sólo pagas la diferencia. El restaurante también es bueno. Lo único que no nos gustó fueron las almohadas, están muy duras. Pero la verdad excelente relación calidad y precio.
