I found the accommodation was fairly basic, but it gets the job done. Everything was clean. My only complaint would be that the shower when you turn it on it doesn’t matter which direction the showerhead is planted in water will get on the floor unless you’re actually holding the showerhead. And all of that said, I would definitely stay here again. I loved the free popsicles and ice cream in the lobby. 😂

This hotel is the most modern hotel we’ve stayed at during our Japan trip. Beds and pillows were comfortable. They even have a public bath which is a bonus if you want to experience it. Check in time is very strict but they have a facility where you can store your luggage by yourself for free. Hotel was about 10-15 mins walk from Kyoto station, which was a significant distance for us travelling with an older person, definitely something to consider when booking. Other Keihan hotels are much closer to station (which I would have booked if I had known).

The hotel was near the train station and easy to get to once we found our bearings. Only downfall was that it was busy with tour groups so breakfast was hectic. Not the hotels fault more the tour groups and their lack of awareness of other guests.

A great hotel by Kyoto train station! The breakfast was amazing with great selections. It was so nice for them to let us leave the suitcase before check in and after check out. Enjoyed the public bath and the free ice cream. The private bath was pretty small but very typical in Japan. Definitely stay here again when we come back in the future!

The staff was super friendly. Our room was very clean, we liked the amenities and the free ice cream cubes for the children. The breakfast was very good. Multiple choices between warm dishes and breakfast items. Several fresh fruits and vegetables. The coffee was very good - Franke coffee systems. We had a wonderful 4 nights stay in Kyoto.
