We really enjoyed our stay at this location. Had everything we needed during our visit to Kyoto. The grocery at the end of the street was also great! We will stay again when we visit in the future.
I loved everything. Very accessible to multiple transportation. It’s self service but staff responses very fast to message. The room was clean and spacious. Would definitely stay here again.
Good and comfortable beds. Clean. Located in a quiet and charming neighbourhood. Okay location, close to two bus stops. There is a washing machine there, free to use, but it broke down when we tried to use it. It was a big inconvenience for us, and we did not receive any help when we asked for it
Lodging in Kyoto is expensive, and this guesthouse was the most we spent on any hotel during our 10-day stay in Japan. This place was, however reasonable by Kyoto standards. The location is in a quiet side street in an upscale part of town - about 20 minutes by a city bus from the train station, and just 3-4 minutes walk from the bus stop. The hostess speaks fluent English and German. The room was well equipped and maintained. The mattress was comfortable and the comforter and pillow perfect by my standard.
They have a kitchenette in the lobby and you can leave food you buy in their refrigerator. We left for sightseeing before the simple breakfast was served in the AM’s - so I can’t comment on that. We would certainly stay here again!
Definitivamente volvería a hospedarme aquí.

We were a group of 3: a couple in our 80s travelling with our daughter .It had a very friendly atmosphere and was an enjoyable stay and we would advise our friends to stay there but a bit far from the main bus routes for oldies like us!
This hotel was a breathe of fresh air whilst travelling in Japan. The rooms were spacious and the beds were really comfortable. They also serve a light continental breakfast which was a welcome change! The staff were friendly and nothing is too much trouble. There’s even a washing machine to wash your clothes.
Hotel is one bus from Kyoto station and it’s easy to get around the city.
We will definitely stay again if we are in Kyoto
A great little guesthouse - small and friendly. In a great location - just a couple of minutes from bus stop and close to ninjijo castle . Basic breakfast of pastries, yoghurt and fruit. Use of fridge and freezer very useful - you could also use the kitchen to cook meals but we didn’t do this.
Right in the centre of things of interest in Kyoto, we were able to walk or ride a bus everywhere. The guesthouse was brand new, and rather un-noticeable from outside. The room was as advertised size-wise and with insufficient facilities for a longer stay. The beds were really comfortable and we had very good sleep the whole 5 nights, and the bathroom exceeded expectations, very Japanese, high tech, functional and proportionally seemed more spacious than the room. The hostess was very helpful speaking a really good English, German, Chinese, and Japanese. Would not think twice coming back.
