Lilac: A good place to stay

The stay was excellent here. The room was spacious and clean. Food at the restaurant was nice too. Friendly staff and good service. Overall a very good place to stay if you are with family.

The rooms were excellent. The best thing that I liked about the place are the service from people. Super friendly and courteous, there is never an answer of “no” or “can’t be done “. While I don’t remember everyone who helped us out, few names that I remember are, Ajeesh at check-in, Vijay at the restaurant, Prabhakar at th the reception are all excellent. Sorry others, I can’t recollect all of your names. If they keep up the service level high, then this will be top hotel to stay in Kumbakonam.

New hotel so everything was fresh and new and nice. Check in was rigorous. I am a foreigner and had to provide my evisa which was annoying because even the Indian immigration just looked at my digital evisa on my phone . Also I booked a room with 2 beds as there were 3 of us and when paid online somehow the number of guest corrected to 2. Hotel charged me extra for third person.This is why I gave a 4 star instead of 5. Stay was good. Hotel facilities excellent. The restaurant in hotel is outstanding. Very good food. Staff are very polite and friendly .
