Lovely traditional, authentic building. Fantastic meal in the restaurant. The incredibly uncomfortable beds let it down a little. Great place for a stop over.
Quaint property. Old and traditional layout. Keeping the traditional appearance and interior does come with trade offs - the rooms have very little noise insulation, all the furniture is very squeaky, the beds are small and highly uncomfortable. Choose the top floor as it is very noisy to stay in the bottom floor if there are guests above you.
This property is two hotels in one. We stayed at the Swiss Chalet, which has more of a lodge feel. Our room was the two double beds with included bathroom. The room was a good size, shower had good pressure and hot water, and the beds were comfortable. The included breakfast was absolutely wonderful. The croissants were so flaky. The staff was so nice and accommodating.
This place is nice, although doesn’t have AC so room was very warm. If you open the windows at night, street is moderately loud as it’s a main road. Shared bathroom and shower were clean. Very nice beach to swim and relax. Breakfast was good!
Staff were great room was quirky. Comfortable beds plenty of towels. Great bathing facilities at the Lake. Handy for the train station
Only negative you need something for cold drinks especially in the summer. It was great we were left a couple of bottles of water each day but they were warm.
If you can’t put in a small fridge may you could do ice and ice buckets
Bel hôtel type suisse chalet fleuri.
Mais le revers ,plafond bas et WC sur le palier.
Bien compensé par une plage privée et une herbe fraîche au bord de l'eau.
Worst sleep I’ve had in a long time. Check-in was confusing due to having to go to an entirely different hotel. The Swiss Chalet is over 300 years old and it shows - the walls are paper thin, the floors are loud and the beds are twin sleigh beds too small for a six-foot-tall man. The last night we were there was one of the worst sleeps I have had in a long time due to the noise from the room upstairs. I don’t know if they were pacing or just moving on their bed, but we heard it all loud and clear all night long. No climate control in the room, no fan or heater, and mosquitoes in the room the entire time we were there. I recommend finding another place to stay.
Amazing access to private beach at lake and incredible swimming spot! Shared bathroom and shower was no issue at all. The restaurant was delicious. Only challenge was we were here during June heatwave and the rooms were extremely hot, so just be prepared for no AC! Overall loved our stay here!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The lodge/hotel is old which is understandable for europe/swiss. If you are tall, this place is not the best choice. Door thresholds are under 6ft tall. Shower is the same, similar to a small camper style. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable which led to some rough sleepless nights (my biggest issue). However, the location is beautiful and its only 5 min walk to the train station, which is nice. It just needs some updating in areas to make it more comfortable. For the price and age, they should include breakfast. It would even out the pros/cons.
The area, the chalet, the scenery were all fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The hotel/chalet park/Bar outdoor area amazing i highly recommend Caju - Restaurant, Grill & Bar..the owner Gustave..a good time. When in the Lucerne area, will return for more!
We only stayed for one night as we on motorcycles trsvelling back to the UK from lake Como. We had dinner at the restaurant and I can confirm it's was truly delicious and staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a typical old swiss chalet with loads of character and it was comfortable, not 5 star but it met out every needs
