Mycket bra boende

Väldigt mysigt boende, tyst område, nära havet med fin sandstrand. Mycket trevlig husägare Carol som rekommenderat olika vandringar och stränder samt lagat perfekt frukost enligt gäster önskemål! Bra ställe att äta (bl a god pizza) bara ca 500 m bort. Rekommenderas! Liten ”- ” långsam internet.

B&B that has it all

We are a couple from the U.S. just touring the Coromandel and this was a fantastic place. Looking back, it’s a great hub for a longer stay with all the options within a half hour depending on the direction you go. There isn’t a whole lot going on in this town but there are great beaches everywhere. This b&b is fantastic and the host, Carol, is a true gem. I can’t even begin to describe the kindness and generosity. We arrived in New Zealand and our luggage did not - Carol actually helped my wife by letting her borrrow some clothing! The location of the b&b is great - pathway takes you to the road and the beach is right there. Breakfast and the room itself were both excellent as well. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great first place on our trip.

Carol was very welcoming and the room had everything we needed and was large and spacious. Great quiet beach right across the road and a nice pizza place a few minutes walk away which you can walk down the beach to. We only stayed one night so didn’t get chance to really ecplore the area.

Outstanding hostess and an unbelievable breakfast.

Quiet. Clean. Easy to find, just off the main road. Walk to the beach and a great restaurant. Big breakfast including eggs to order, bacon, toast, many varieties of homemade jam, great coffee, and even a homegrown tomato! Hope to come back some day.

Great location and lovely room

My husband and I stayed here for one night and really enjoyed it. You can walk to the beach and into town for food, plus the location is beautiful. Breakfast was delicious! The room itself is comfortable and clean and well appointed. No air conditioning though. We would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy the beach.

Nice welcome in North Coromandel

We spent a single night at Taigh na Mara, which we really enjoyed. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the location a few minutes from a beautiful beach. Because we had done a long drive from Taupo, we arranged for Carole to cook supper for us - Home cooked chicken thighs wrapped in prosciutto with zucchini from the garden. For breakfast there was delicious home made bread with preserves made from the fruit trees in the garden. Would strongly recommend

Quiet beautiful location on the Coromandel

Carol offers a lovely and accommodating B & B on the Coromandel peninsula. The guest room is very large with a private outdoor sitting area and you have access to the common living/kitchen/dining area. Although not directly on the beach it is a very short walk across the road. We stayed in mid-September so the weather was cool but we were still able to walk and beach comb on the beach. Otamo and Opito beaches are a short 20 minute drive away and worth visiting as well. If we had more time in our itinerary we would have stayed longer and highly recommend it.

Wonderful stay across from a gorgeous beach

Our hostess Carol has thought out every detail to make for a wonderful stay at her Band B. SHe also will cook a great dinner and you will leave the next morning with two homemade cookies for the road!

Great B&B in a seaside town.

Fabulous from the moment we checked in. Watched the sunrise from the beach. Breakfast was wonderful. You need to stay more than one day in order to sample all the homemade jams and jellies on the homemade bread.
