This was my second time staying at the hotel and if I ever go back to Kosice, I’ll stay here again. The hotel has a fantastic location: very close to the train station and is very close to downtown. The rooms are beautiful and big. The hotel has a fantastic restaurant with delicious food and big breakfast was included in the price.

Excellent hotel, but there’s a charge for the spa!

Lovely hotel. Situated perfectly for the old town. The spa is really relaxing, but there is a 10euro charge per person, per use. This was not clear on the hotels.com website!

Excellent location and great hotel.

Excellent location just off the main tourist street with shops and restaurants all around, yet the street the hotel is on is quiet so you can sleep. Very grand slightly faded decor in keeping with the old town vibe. Room and bathroom were huge. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout. Kosice itself also lovely to visit and felt very safe.

A normal hotel but at the price of a spa hotel!!

The Golden Royal Hotel is famous as a spa hotel when in fact during our stay the spa was closed, which greatly affected the nature of the vacation. It is very difficult to find the hotel because there is no signage in the area, we made 3 rounds until we found the hotel. The breakfast at the hotel is excellent and varied, the staff is very kind, the rooms are large, beautiful and decorated, and most importantly, clean. Overall, an excellent hotel, but the advertisement that the hotel is a spa hotel and the price is the price of a spa hotel is very misleading. If we had known, we would not have come to this hotel.

Hotel byl pěkný, vsak dle meho názoru neni vhodný pro osoby se sníženou pohyblivostí a hůře vidící. Na chodbach i v pokoji bylo mnoho schůdků, které byly i špatně viditelné.

Nice hotel, central location, clean rooms. Could not use spa facilities, due to corona precautions. Poor WiFi connection at night, but overall nice place to stay in Kosice if you wanna be close to city center. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby. Helpful staff at reception and restaurant. Good selection for breakfast. Very pretty receptionists:)

Quirky and Quaint! - But Comfortable!.Loved It!

Loved it all! Spa Area was a bonus! Rooms are "oldy Worldy" but I loved that feeling for a change and everything worked! Tons of TV Channels - including UK ones i.e ITV and BBC! Lots of Hot Water with excellent Bathroom Toiletries! Bed was comfortable too with memory foam matress! Breakfast was mediocre and basic...But had smoked salmon and meats cheeses etc. Breakfast Staff not very smiley or chatty. I loved this quirky hotel and would stay again! Reception staff VERY friendly!:) Thank you!
