Rooms are alright. Decent size and good open view. Breakfast spread is also excellent.
However, room cleaning and facilities are quite below par. Sometimes they don't clean the room until 3 PM. There are times when there's no water supply in the room. Any room service takes 15-30 min usually. Quite shameful for Taj as a brand. Lots of room for improvement.

My stay was perfect. Excellent room, staff, restaurant, service, location and attitude.
Quiet room, decent gym and very good variety with excellent quality of food at the restaurant.
Food prices match the quality and service.
The property was excellent in terms of cleanliness, service, accessibility to various places in the city.
In addition the buffet breakfast and lunch spreads were huge and delicious. It being the Durga Pooja festival period all the possible delicacies were available.
The only serious deficiency is the phone response of the the In-room dining. Mostly they don’t answer, and when they do, it’s difficult to communicate (is their intercom that bad?).
That apart, the hotel provides an overall superb experience.
this is a nice hotel not far from the center of Kolkata. The city is quite easy access to this hotel. Hotel personnel were helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Arnav (Arnab?) in Mynt for his hard work and attention at breakfast. We found that room service food delivery was a bit on the slow side, maybe that's normal.
Very fine hotel. Was very happy with amenities and services. Very helpful and friendly staff, including supervisors and managers. Food was good as well as food service, but the quality of the cuisine could be of a higher caliber for a hotel of this stature. I would recommend it highly to Indian ( local) and foreign guests.

I enjoyed my stay. But did have a challenge with the banquet room above my room. They were pushing tables around at 3:00 am.
I also had a mouse in my room.

The staff is untrained in simply speaking with guests. They behave arrogantly and respond with insults escalating situations.
Room allocated was not cleaned after the previous guest left.
