Unique, simply and tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Brilliantly located for all the local sites in wonderful Fort Kochi and the ferry terminal. Delightful waterfront restaurant- probably the best location to dine in the city. Watching the boats and ships was a real treat. Extremely helpful staff at the front desk and the band practice next door was a complete treat! Perfect place to start our Indian adventure.

Amazing relaxing stay at Fort Kochi. The Ayurvedic massage treatment was incredibly relaxing, highly recommend. A bit of construction was a little noisey but they also provide ear plugs which helps.

Nice place but terrible night’s sleep

The overall environment is beautiful and the food was amazing but bed was very hard and there was a huge amount of ambient noise. No Tv and Room had open brickwork in bathroom which let in the sound…was woken at 5am by mosque opposite.

I spent only two nights at Fort House and wished I could have stayed longer! It is located on the edge of Fort Kochi's central area, it is an oasis but still within walking distance--and there is no shortage of tuk-tuks. They are working on the road, but don't let that dissuade you--the inner courtyard garden is beautiful and the outdoor dining areas are lovely. It sits on the straight between the sea and the backwater, so I had breakfast with the birds--so peaceful. And the breakfast was among the best on my trip. The room was large and nicely decorated. The staff was plentiful and friendly and requests were met almost immediately. I will, without a doubt, stay at Fort House again when in Kochi!

I am coming back here on my next trip to Kochi

From the get go since I booked my stay, the staff were super helpful. I had a slight issue with my booking dates on hotel.com so when I called the hotel, Nisha resolved it instantly. I had a ton of logistical questions for organising sightseeing etc. she was patient and kind and super helpful with those too. On arrival as well, the rest of the staff were also so very hospitable. The room was fab! The location and views are fab! My mom and I loved it!

I could walk to most of the destinations I wanted to reach. The rest was easiliy accessible by jetty or by tuctuc. Small problem were the construction works on the street passing in front of to place. But they should be finished soon, I think in 2025 at the latest. Really recommended!

A beautiful Cochin sanctuary

We arrived in the middle of the night at Fort House, tired from a long flight and a little disoriented. The staff made provision for our extremely early arrival and were incredibly kind to us from the outset. We were allowed to check in to our room early (without any additional cost) and looked after before that time with complimentary beverages on their stunning terrace. Then followed a truly lovely stay where the staff all went out of their way to make us feel as at home and at ease as possible. The food at the on site restaurant is lovely, and the massage centre on site is excellent. It's only a short walk (or quick rickshaw ride) from the centre of Fort Cochin or the Dutch Palace in the other direction. All in all, I would highly recommend a stay at Fort House to anyone. Definitely worth stocking up on mosquito repellent first though!

Die Zimmer sind geräumig, dabei schlicht aber geschmackvoll. Wir liebten den Blick auf den wunderbaren Garten, den man von allen Zimmern aus hat. Den Bereich am Ufer belegt das Restaurant, das eine exzellente Qualität sowohl bei europäischen, wie bei indischen Speisen serviert. Zudem sitzt man so schön, wie vermutlich bei keinem anderen Hotelrestaurant in Fort Kochi. Wir liebten es, das reichhaltige Frühstücks da einzunehmen. Das Personal war außerordentlich freundlich und bemüht, wobei einige Kellnerlnnen fast oder gar kein Englisch sprachen (oder sich nicht trauten ), eine junge Kellnerin namens Luxy aber exzellentes Englisch. Die Ayurveda Anwendungen an sich überzeugten uns, nicht aber die ayurvedische Ärztin. In jedem Fall lieben wir das Hotel und das Restaurant, auch die fairen Preise, ganz besonders im Restaurant, und werden wieder kommen.

Hôtel très décevant

L'hôtel est situé à proximité d'une mosquée, ce qui signifie appels à la prière en soirée et à l'aube... L'hôtel est en travaux. Nous avons appris à notre arrivée que la cuisine n'était pas disponible, ce qui très contraignant : impossible de se restaurer sur place. Pour le petit déjeuner, l'hotel a organisé un transfert vers un autre hôtel où le petit -dejeuner est servi. Pour le dîner, il faut sortir dans le quartier, mal éclairé, limite dans la pénombre pour rechercher un restaurant. Impossible de commander à manger depuis l'hôtel... Une réelle contrainte ! Equipement de la chambre et douche vieillissant. Le lit double etait fait avec deux draps de lits 90... Pas terrible. Nous n'avons pas apprécié.
