Lovely place in Knysna

The Amanzi Island Lodge is in great location. Next to the lagoon with great views, lovely staff and atmosphere. A great spot to relax and take it easy.

Thanks To Mariet, our stay was amazing

Our stay could I have be ruined because of a car accident but Mariet welcomed us warmly with her nice smile and did her very best to make us feel relaxed. She made sure we will enjoy our stay and forget about our bad experience. The lodge is itself a very nice place to stay, near the lagoon, with confortable rooms. Again Thanks Mariet ! Excellent Boutique Guest House

We enjoyed a truly wonderful stay at Amanzi. The location is one of the best in Knysna and the Kingfisher suite we stayed in was luxurious and spacious offering incredible views over the Knysna Lagoon and Knysna Heads. The breakfast was included in our rate and we really enjoyed the menu variety and high quality on offer. On the one evening, we enjoyed dinner in the restaurant and we were similarly impressed with the varied menu and delicious meals. My fillet steak and my partners lamb shank were both exceptional. You also simply just have to try the baked yoghurt and berry sauce dessert - sublime! The highlight for us was the incredible staff at Amanzi. From checkin to garden staff - all consistently good with friendly and helpful dispositions. Special mention to Fortune and Miriam who were particularly outstanding. The hotel also has a very comfortable minivan that transfers guests, whether it is to do some sightseeing at the Heads or an airport transfer. The rates are very reasonable and we enjoyed using this service on one occasion. We look forward to returning to Amanzi on a future trip.

SENSACIONAL!!!! Adoramos os 3 dias que passamos neste hotel.. ficamos na suite Milkwood, grande, espaçosa, com uma grande varanda de frente para a praia, com mesa e espreguiçadeiras… Decoração clean, elegante, tudo de muito bom gosto, tanto as fotografias quanto os quadros e as esculturas. O atendimento foi extremamente gentil e atencioso em todos os momentos. Café da manhã excelente, além do buffet com pães, queijos, embutidos, frutas, yogurts e sucos ainda havia a possibilidade de escolher um item do cardápio a ser feito na hora. A lojinha também é muito especial… tudo muito charmoso… Única sugestão de melhoria é colocar blackout nesta suite pois as cortinas não conseguem filtrar a luz da manhã!!! No mais tudo excelente.

Amanzi for honeymoon

Wow, the view at this property was stunning! We stayed in the honeymoon suite which had our very own pool! But best of all was the view! We were also ecstatic with the amazing hospitality. We were surprised with a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries which were a very nice touch. The property has bikes you can take at your leisure as well as paddle boards and kayaks to enjoy! We wished we stayed a few days instead of one night. But we will definitely be back and bring some friends!

Amazing location and lodge. Everything was set up to perfection. The only thing I didn’t like was having to leave. Next time we are staying longer for sure.
