We enjoyed our air conditioned room since the weather was over 90 degrees farenheit. The staff were friendly and nice. We had a quiet room. We chose the location because it is within 40 minutes of Addo elephant park, but road construction turned that into over an hour—not their fault.

We arrived on Sunday at 7pm to the locked front gate of the property and no one was present to let us in to the property for about 20 minutes, despite an early call we made about 2 hours prior to let them know about our estimated arrival time. The guest house is located in a very small & depressing town were KFC closing at 8pm was the only option in town for dinner on Sunday evening as the restaurant on hotel premises is closed on Sunday for dinner. TV in the room played only 1 channel. We booked 2 nights of stay in advance through Expedia and were happy to check out after 1 day and get out of this town. This town is 30 minutes drive from Addo elephant park but I would not recommend to stay there to any tourist. In a 3 week travel through South Africa this town (Industrial citrus packaging area) was the only place I would strongly recommend to avoid as it has nothing to offer for any tourists!!!

The beds were amazing, the breakfast were fabulous - could have more options on the restaurant menu for the main meals but the staff were friendly and very accommodating. The stay was what I was expecting - quiet and peaceful. A small basin in the rooms to clean mugs etc would be nice but not a necessity.

This is really a great guesthouse. Everything you need in large spacious rooms. Excellent breakfast and food. Great service, really ejoyed my stay. Nothing to complain at all.

Die Anlage an sich ist sehr schön, die Zimmer allerdings in die Jahre gekommen und es riecht muffig. Wir hatten das Zimmer zur Straße und damit direkt neben der Restaurant-Terrasse, was einem jede Privatsphäre nahm, die Zimmer zum Hof sind schöner gelegen. Essen im Restaurant sehr gut. Eine Unverschämtheit ist allerdings die Aussage dass es 5 Minuten zum Addo-Elefanten-Nationalpark sind. Es sind 40 km auf mäßiger Straße, was knapp 45 Minuten dauert. Diese Angaben sollten sie ändern!!!

The ambiance was so inviting and the hospitality was exceptional. The staff member who welcomed us well beyond the acceptable hour could not have been more gracious and accommodating. She even prepared a midnight meal for us as we had been on the road all-day and had not had time for dinner. I can not give a higher recommendation on all aspects of our stay.

Loved the friendly staff and my husband and I had a fantastic, roomy, comfortable suite. Our meal at the restaurant was outstanding and well-priced. On the down side, our kids' suite smelt a little musty, and the two staff members at check-out had no idea as to how to direct us to the nearest Addo Elephant Park gate. We would definitely stay there again however.
