"Being early March, it was 55 degrees on day 1 and 69 on day 3. Being from Vermont, any day is a good day to sit at the end of a pier watching the sun rise and/ or set with a coffee/ beer in hand. The restaurant was excellent, with complementary breakfast, and dinner service available. "

"Property its self is suitable. However the beach access is horrible! We couldn’t fully enjoy ourself because there was so much concrete and sewage in the waters. Dead fish all up and down beach! "

"Beach front room- would have been a nice view if they’d actually cleaned the windows. Dead cockroach greeted us upon entering the room. Not many toiletries provided, with promise of being able to pick some up from the office. Office however never staffed and toiletries not restocked. All in all, ok if paying around $60 per night (Elite room). "

"Absolutely amazing! I never leave reviews but I wanted to be sure to leave a review for this stay because we will be booking for Thanksgiving again next year. Super clean with all the necessities and great place to bring your pet. Highly recommend!"

"Definitely my favorite place to stay here. The staff is all friendly and caring. They had a water outage when I was here this time, and they were kind enough to move me to one of the cottages they rent out next-door. I've always been happy staying here, and will definitely come back again."

"I am so glad i found the FCI for our first trip to the Outer Banks. We really enjoyed our six night stay there during the last week of October. Our room was perfect for us and the yummy hot breakfast every morning was amazing. We chose a historic inn rather than a hotel or airbnb because we like the more personal touch an Inn provides. Lisa, the innkeeper, was very helpful and friendly. Beth, the Manager and breakfast chef was super hospitable. With the beach just a short walk away...we...
