We couldn’t find another hotel to move to so had to stay, I didn’t get into the bed but covered it and the pillows with my own towels. The door wouldn’t lock so we had to wedge a chair underneath the handle. Run down and dilapidated. Bathroom disgraceful and mouldy. Asked to move rooms ( twice) and was told the internet was down so even if he wanted to he couldn’t move us! The only saving grace was the waitress was lovely and the...

"I cannot speak highly enough of this Hotel. Our stay was enhanced by the ambience, the welcome we received and the service was exceptional. A most relaxing and enjoyable experience in a house that is so steeped in history, but so comforrable. Can't wait to visit again. Highly recomnended. Thank you Robina and Val. "

"Room wasnt clean told them it needed a deep clean, stains and lots of damages on the walls, when i questioned this they said its a chemical they use to clean the walls, no breakfast was provided. "

"This is a good value room in a pleasant location. The rooms are a little basic but offer good value. Staff are all very helpful especially as we arrived very late."

"Whilst the staff and facilities were good, I was disappointed with the food. I had the coronation chicken terrine starter.which had a large piece of chicken skin in it. The staff offered me a replacement which I declined and they did not charmed for it. I later asked if I could have fresh fruit for dessert which the said would be available for breakfast. At breakfast the only fresh fruit available was watermelon. I may be picky but I feel that these minor items should be catered for."

"Please note this property sometimes pops up on Searches specifying Air conditioning.. The Property has Approx 94 Room Apparently Only 5 currently have A/C So ur chances of getting one R slim Added 2 that they recently quoted me an Extra £25 for an A/C Room So perhaps one 2 save 4 Winter"

"Nice bed and mattress, large room with nice furniture, and the included breakfast had a nice selection and was pretty tasty. Staff sorted early check in to let me change for a wedding, no issues. Free parking."
