It's a very busy pub so quite noisy. The food is good, but the room we had was very small and cluttered with a radiator (which could have been put away in the cupboard) and a large fan. The biggest problem was that there was no internet and the management attitude was - "Well it is North Norfolk!" Which is not really acceptable in 2025.
We would love to stay again, really enjoyed it. Room was comfortable, dinner & breakfast both relaxed and beautifully cooked. Dog freindly, so was great for us. The space is understandibly put aside mostly for diners with tables set up, but the bar area could really do with being larger and more comfy seating. Posh, obnoxious kids took over in the bar which was annoying, but that is not the establishments fault.
Stunning looking building and a stunning location.
Most of the staff are great, helpful and friendly apart from one man (who seated and served breakfast in the morning) looked fed up and borderline rude.
Apart from that, it was a lovely stay.
The Dabbling Duck exceeded our expectations in all respects. We were shown into our beautiful room in the house adjacent to the inn. The room was spacious and comfortable with a large sofa as well as king size bed. Our en suite bathroom was bigger than many hotel rooms we have stayed in and far more luxuriously appointed. Dinner in the inn was great - excellent service and good choices and breakfast also first class. The location was good for visiting nearby National Trust and English Heritage places as well as the North Norfolk coast.
