"The Staff at this property were helpful and friendly. Our room was in great need of a good clean as surfaces were grimy, the floor had not been properly swept or washed, the glasses in the bathroom needed to be washed before we could use them. The bathroom was cleanish but needed a good deep scrub. A coat of paint is sorely needed. The bedlinens and towels were spotless and the bed was comfy. "

"This is a modern hotel pleasantly fitted into old buildings. The hotel is one of the most comfortable and elegant we’ve stayed in recently. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Newly renovated, everything looks shiny and spotlessly clean, and things like wi-fi connections work! Bed and shower + separate tub were great. (Bathroom needs more hooks or towel rack. ) Insulation is excellent, so rooms are quiet. Lighting is modern, though a little sparse.
Only annoyances: You need to sign in to wi-fi daily. Because of the architectural accommodation of older buildings, it’s necessary to drag luggage up and down a few steps to check in and access rooms. Once you reach the elevator, it’s modern and larger than one expects in Europe.
The bar/lounge area is extremely comfortable and outfitted with lots of plush furniture. Decor amusingly includes recently painted reproductions of some major works.
We certainly would recommend the hotel very highly!

"We stayed one night in Brugge at Novotel and it didnt disappoint. Having stayed at Novotels before, i knew what to expect but this hotel exceeded expectation! The room was perfect for our family, with a pull out bed for our youngest. The hotel is clean and stylish and positioned perfectly to explore Brugge. Breakfast was also fab and enjoyed making our own belgian waffles ar the buffet! The only negative i would say, is that as a hotel guest, we should have received discounted parking for our stay from the onsite car park."
"Nice place with comfortable beds and a large kitchen. No washer/dryer, and confusing communication about the trash. Also, the deal with the sheets and towels was a total bait-and-switch. You book the place and then the company tells you there is an extra fee to have sheets and towels provided (15 euro a person, I think)? Not sure if this is common in Belgium, but is pretty unusual and did not properly represent the cost of the rental on hotels.com"
"The owners at the home were lovely and we did enjoy our stay. They were helpful and well informed on the area. The Bikes also were a nice touch. We really enjoyed riding around Bruges. However the listed price was not the total expense. When I received the bill there was almost a full nights extra "property fee." Then when we tried to cancel after seeing this, and there was no possibility of getting our money back. The listing also is not the building in the photo. And it is not the whole place like the listing stated. We had two rooms and our own bathroom. We did find out this property's sales is run by a management company not the owners. So Huswell has listed the property incorrectly. The management company wanted us also to pay extra to drop our bags off early and they also wanted us to pay a garbage fee cleaning fee and other "extras" We did not and the owners never asked for this as when you rent a place for two days that should all be included. And the owners were wonderful but I would not book a place run by Huswell management group again. It was a pleasant experience dealing with them. "
