"In a lovely historic building set within pleasant grounds, especially as the wisteria was in flower. Very helpful staff, lovely room and comfortable bed. The breakfast was perhaps a little disappointing- dry basic with little choice of healthy cereal or cooked food if you are vegetarian. Overall very good though."

"Great place - rooms are great, comfy bed, welcome green and blacks chocolate. Staff are lovely at check in and the breakfast staff are fantastic, work hard and fast - really impressed. Only thing I don't like is the 'write on paper' check in part - especially every time you come back, would be nice to be digitally stored but in the greater scheme of things its nothing."

"Room and bed very clean, interior of hotel needs a refresh and little update. Plug in bathroom sink stuck down and bathroom mirror light wouldn’t turn off. TV the size of an iPad. If you’re after a clean bed for the night it’s fine and price was ok."

"It was very well presented in all aspects. The kitchen staff were good and helpful. The reception staff were well dressed and presented themselves very professionally rooms were very neat and clean. Would come again when visiting my mother everything is nearby."

"Beautiful location but very tired. Great location just outside of Bath but the hotel is very dated and needs a refurb. Rooms are clean but dark wood furniture and bathroom facilities definitely need an update. Breakfast was average in a very old fashioned dining area and buffer layout was amateurish compared with modern hotels. That said, lovely location and great pub at the bottom of the driveway!"

"The Z hotel in Bath, is a lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Great quality food and drink. Great selection given for the breakfast buffet Great value. The hotel is perfectly situated in the centre of town. Very quiet hotel, room was small but contained all that one needs. Although, if you like to read in bed, the lighting is adequate but not great as there is no bedside lighting. Also, no lighting over the bathroom mirror . If you like to wear makeup you may find this...

"Unfortunately for us we arrived later in day and upon returning to our room later that night we found our bed was unclean.Also we had opened wardrobes to look for more pillows to find the previous visitors used socks. Staff were helpful in moving room but not ideal circumstances."

"This hotel is SO nice we did a half boarding ( dinner and breakfast included). The food was wonderful. The room was nice , clean and very close to Stonehenge. I would definitely stay here again."
