"we stayed in room 4 and despite having a radiator this was centrally controlled by the main reception. we found this out on night 2 as when we went to bed on the first night we whacked the radiator on thinking that would be that but nope, cold as ice through the night. reception did sort but the room didnt get that warm so assuming the thermostatic valve wasnt fully operational. the shower screen squeegee at the bottom didnt properly fit and a gap up at the hinge point meant water escapes onto...

"We liked the spacious rooms with high ceilings and wood trim details. Proximity to the Abbey and various other monuments (most unusual Great War monument with soldiers around a knight on horse, appropriate for city's ancient history) was a big plus. Very clean and kitchen was well supplied. We will return. Their pet policy is also a big plus for us. Nearby Italian fish restaurant was truly five stars."

"Stayed in the hotel section after a very long international flight so it was nice to be near the airport. Enjoyed walking around the beautiful grounds and enjoyed a sunset view from the back of property. Had a nice dinner at the Palomino. "Not a great experience The hotel is very shabby. Bed uncomfortable and room old fashioned. There was a random table in mine taking up space the room didn’t have with no chairs for it. No hairdryer in the room, had to phone down and ask for it. The iron leaked all over a cream skirt, spitting mucky water on it and marking it. "Loved the style of the hotel. Stunning decor and very comfortable beds. Staff were also delightful and well informed. The pool was a really decent size - though in contrast to the rest of the hotel the pool area is very grey and uninteresting. Also no jacuzzi. "This is a little gem! Convenient to all of our excursions . The bed was heaven! Great pillows! A fan was provided. Bathrooms were clean with good smelling products. I like that our room had a separate toilet room from shower room. There were plenty of places to store luggage, clothes, etc. They provide earplugs in case it gets too loud downstairs, but we didn’t really need them.
