"Wonderful service from start to finish. Amazing breakfast and a beautiful antiquated suite with bags of character and charm. We stayed in a suite at the very top of hotel and had to walk up quite a few flight of stairs as there is no light. You are helped with luggage, however anyone with mobility issues would may struggle. "

"What an astonishing place! Really friendly staff and the owners are lovely. Well run and clearly a lot of thought has gone into the communal spaces to make them as inviting and relaxing as possible. "A nice boutique hotel located in a very downtown of Stone Town. It is kept in a vintige wooden style, but rooms are fully equipped with AC and safe. The breakfast is served on a top floor terrace with a nice view over surrounding rooftops (photos attached). We spent there two nights, with a warm welcome at reception and we were nicely treated with a typical local appreciation and helpfulness. "The hotel is in a very convenient location. It is a short walk to the Forodhani Gardens and the former Slave Market. There are several restaurants closeby especially a very popular one Lukmaan. The area around the hotel is bustling in the day and quiet at night. A taxi cannot drive up to this property so you will to do a short walk through the streets to get there.
