Die Berglandschaft ist sehr schön. Die Zelte überhitzen sich in der Sonne sehr stark. Die Terassenüberdachung ist sehr kurz. Man findet keinen Schatten. Ein Kühlschrank oder eine Minibar ist nicht vorhanden. Die Außenplätze des Restaurants haben ebenfalls keinen Schatten. Die Möglichkeiten der Aktivitäten beschränken sich auf einen Sunrise Drive oder einen Sundowner. Der vorhandene Pool ist sehr stark gechlort. Ein mehrtägiger Aufenthalt empfiehlt sich nicht.

Die "Zelte" waren absolut schön und toll eingerichtet. Auch der Service beim Essen war super - und das Essen war auch super! Bei der gebuchten Sunrise Tour bekamen wir tolle Eindrücke - echt empfehlenswert. Grundsätzlich ein perfekter Aufenthalt! Was uns den restlichen Urlaub seit der Abreise vom Kanaan aber echt verhagelt (und das seit einigen Tagen): Beim Checkout (Volunteer und Mitarbeiter) hieß es, dass unsere Rechnung noch überprüft werden müsste, obwohl wir schon 3 Monate vorher über Expedia und PayPal das Zimmer bezahlt hatten. Wir hatten uns auf Grund des Drucks der beiden darauf eingelassen, das Zimmer erneut zu bezahlen - Internet war für uns nicht möglich, um unsere Daten zu verifizieren, aber für die beiden zum Abrechnen über Paygate kein Problem. Und über Kreditkarte (das Gerät funktionierte nicht) ging es nicht - das kam uns seltsam vor, aber um die peinliche Situation zu lösen, willigten wir auf deren "Lösung" ein. Um es kurz zu fassen: mehrere hundert Euro bezahlt, dann den selben Betrag in peinlicher Situation erneut bezahlt. Und nach knapp einer Woche bekommen wir eine Nachricht "re-send", wobei wir keine Ahnung haben, worauf sich dies bezieht, denn das war der einzige Inhalt - und nach 3 Tagen kam noch immer keine Rückerstattung, aber die zusätzliche (zu viel bezahlte)Übernachtung wurde weiterhin gebucht. Wir werden auf GAR KEINEN FALL JEMALS WIEDER DORT ÜBERNACHTEN - und das obwohl wir hier in Namibia auf Grund von Corona auf unbestimmte Zeit bleiben.

This is true luxury - time, peace and this views

This is a wonderful place with breathtaking scenery and views. I could have spent days just looking and enjoying the peace and quiet. The breakfast and dinner was very tasty and they even considered that we are vegan. Their reforestation project is grandiose as well as what they do with the income. We enjoyed the time very much.

tente de luxe très bien aménagée avec vue superbe sur le désert , accueil agréable ,bon petit déjeuner et diner. Le seul bémol serait l'absence d'eau fraiche dans la chambre.

Beautiful desert campsite with ensuite facilities

Wonderful spot with fantastic arid scenery. We stayed 2 nights in an en-suite campsite and loved waking up to the solitude. There were 8 campsites but they are well separated round the base of a low hill. It is 8km back to the D707 gravel road so there is no dust. Meals were available at the lodge but we self catered. They do twice daily dune trips, but we had come from Sossusvlei. The dunes are visible from the chalets and campsites. We enjoyed doing nothing more than seeing their wonderful cheetah orphans. Walked back to the office to collect our camera battery pack and sites are not powered, and wifi is available but remoteness precludes downloading much except emails

We were camping at the site - absolutely amazing views, perfectly clear skies make star gazing wonderful. The sites are spaced well apart, so privacy is very good, and much better than most other camping sites we have stayed at. The cheetah feeding was a real experience and well worth it! Staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

Campingplatz in der Wüste

Wir waren hier zwei Nächte und haben diese sehr genossen. Mitten im Nirgendwo gelegen, aber mit atemberaubender Landschaft. Wir waren „nur“ auf dem Campingplatz (deshalb bei Komfort des Zimmers nur 4 - das war unser Camper), aber jeder Platz hatte seine eigene Toilette und Freiluftdusche. Bis zur Rezeption sind es 10 Minuten Fußmarsch, aber perfekt für einen Abendspaziergang und um noch ein bisschen WLAN zu bekommen. Die Sunrise- und Cheetah-Feeding-Tour waren einfach nur fantastisch und würden wir jederzeit wiederholen. Wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind, kommen wir definitiv nochmal hierher.

Luxuröses Zelten mit einzigartigem Blick.

Sehr schöne kleine Lodge mit lediglich 8 festen, gut ausgestatteten Zelthäuschen, jeweils incl. eigener Nasszelle und eigener Terrasse mit einzigartigem Blick auf eine Senke direkt am Rand der Namib-Wüste. Gutes Frühstück, gutes Abendessen in einem dahinter oberhalb gelegenen Zentralgebäude.

Magnifique

Superbe. Le personnel s est occupé de tout suite à une erreur de notre part. Nous avions réserve un emplacement de tente au lieu D une chambre. Ils ont amené un lit double, des serviettes , et une tente leur appartenant . Très réactifs , très souriants , des efforts niveau restauration même si tout n est pas parfait , et le cadre est sublime au milieu du désert .
