Pros - good wifi - close to attraction - clear check-in instructions - clean kitchen & big dining area - big living room with games - kitchen supplies (forks, bowls, plates, pots) - big shared fridge - nice view - comfortable beds Cons - no towel for showering - only two toilets for 20 people - no power in the morning and host didn't come and fix it - no power = no breakfast, no coffee, no hot water, can't charge any devices

It was ok for a short stay. You have to know that the closest gas station is around 50km away. There are very few restaurants within a 30min car-ride radius. It was noisy and not perfectly clean. We had a private double room and it was very small, the bed was almost a single bed. The surroundings are pretty.

We were lit a bit disappointed. Small room is really small up to the limits. Room was clean and warm. We were surprised that we had to put on duvet cover ourselves. We have left our luggage in the car, there was no space for it. Showers lit a bit narrow with medium water pressure, also we were not able to regulate temp. No towels. Recompensation is a view from the kitchen area. Overal not to good and not to but either, but some attention is needed.

Ottima posizione per poter visitare il sud-est dell'Islanda. Struttura vicinissima all strada n.1. Cottage puliti e sistemati con WC privato. Ampia cucina con dotazioni un po' più basilari. Nel complesso un buon alloggio.

The cabin and showers were fine for the price, but there was only 1 stove and sink for all the guests to use, which meant long waits and jostling for the facilities to make meals. It was like the hunger games trying to use the stove to make dinner at night. Really need another stove and sink for a place that size.

A great spot for a night. Our cottage was comfortable for 4 adults. No blackout curtains meant that I had to create my own. Towels are also not included in the price. Otherwise a stunning setting, which we enjoyed with a clear blue sky.

Sehr gutes Hostel

Sehr gutes Hostel. Die Hütte war wie erwartet klein, aber mit eigener Toilette. Bettbezüge waren vorhanden, Handtücher nicht. Die gemeinschaftlich genutzte Küche war gut ausgestattet, der Speiseraum ein sehr schöner Wintergarten mit Blick über die Wiesen zum Meer. Die Unterkunft ist super für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in der Nähe des Diamond Beaches (Jökulsárlón).

Not worth of money, cottage with no insulation

We lived in the cottage, the door is in a poor condition and can hardly be locked. The room has no insulation, even we stayed in summer, it was very cold with the electric heater on. You need to go to another building for shower and for the communal kitchen. Would not recommend, particularly in winter, not cheap as well for this standard

Wir hatten das Glück und konnten das 4-Bett-Zimmer mit 2 Etagenbetten für uns alleine nutzen. Bei voller Belegung wäre es sehr beengt gewesen. Die Gemeinschaftsduschen sind in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber. Gemeinschaftsküche und Aufenthaltsraum sind geräumig und oK. Bei Ankunft muss man sich unzählige Informationen durchlesen, um einchecken zu können. Kein persönlicher Ansprechpartner vor Ort, nur telefonisch zu erreichen. Das nervt! Der Frühstücksraum ist in dem neuen Gebäude vorzufinden und dementsprechend neu und modern eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und empfehlenswert.

Bon séjour dans cet auberge. Petit problème étant la cuisine qui n'est pas chauffée, il fait donc très froid dans la cuisine et la salle a manger. Les douches ne sont pas très pratiques non plus avec rien pour accrocher ces affaires dans la douche
